"Good heat in the room. Rooms were clean,there was a mini fridge,safe in the closet,coffee maker with reg and decafe provided. It was a quick walk to and from the trainstation,and a Jumbo grocery store a few blocks away. Several restaurant options close by,as well as many shops. Daily maid service and on site reataurant and fitness facility. I really enjoyed Alkmaar and my stay at Hotel Amranth."

"Great location in center of Alkmaar! Shops & restaurants right outside the door. The hotel is beautiful and our room was great. The lofted room would not work well for someone with mobility challenges but worked well for us. Very responsive communication from the hotel! Would happily stay there again. "

"The staff and the restaurant are great. The ambience is always good and the quirkiness of the former prison is fun to stay in. On the negative side, the room has not a single hook or hanger for a towel, the towels are too small and the toilet paper seems like genuine prison standard"

"We received a room upgrade to suite which was amazing. The room was modern and huge. After a busy day the bed was fab and super comfortable. We were afforded a huge bath in the room which was lovely. All this and free parking-can’t fault it. "

"All staff were really helpful and the room was clean with unexpected extras like completely ear plugs, safe and a fridge with water, pop and a few snacks. A beautiful location in with canals and tourist attractions on the doorstep. Also a great base to get to Oosterhout parkrun. My room was a little tired with a cracked window and other mantinance bits with a steap staircase so not advisable for anyone with mobility isues but overall a great stay and would recommend and would stay again. X"

"Die Unterkunft liegt in der Ortsmitte, deshalb gab alles in direkter Nähe. Es ist trotzdem eine ruhige Gegend. Die Unterkunft hat einen kleinen Hof und bietet da Parkplätze gegen Bezahlung an. Öffentliche Parkplätze gibt es auch hinter dem Hof. Die Zimmer sind klein aber sauber und mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet. Das Personal ist nett und zuvorkommend. Der schoorlse Apfelkuchen im Kaffee ist zu empfehlen. "

"Magnifique château, chambre avec un minimum de confort mais suffisant et très propre. il faut apporter ses serviettes de toilettes. Les draps sont fournis mais il faut faire son lit et enlever les draps au départ. Petit déjeuner compris varié. Parking gratuit"

"A bit suprised at checking in, but the manager was very kind to make instructions to get a card key. Very close to the UK ferry terminal and good access to the north and south dunes. I enjoyed staying and very much relaxed. "
