Great host. Very helpful in arranging area tours. Breakfast good. Only negative is the very small room. Still very pleased.
the stay was amazing, Fraser was very helpful, the breakfast was amazing. the food was waiting for you when you got into the breakfast room. the dog was really friendly. I would deferentially recommend this Guest House,
This place is so cute and nice. The gentleman that greeted us at the property gave us some excellent recommendations for eating and shopping. The next morning he had our breakfast all ready. This was one of our favorite stays in Scotland. Would definitely stay here again.
The property was wonderful, the breakfast was excellent. Great location, walkable to everything and quiet. The best part was the host Fraser. He was very attentive and gave us so many great ideas for things to do and see! He really knows and loves the area. I would highly recommend this inn.
Fraser is the best host. We mentioned hiking as our goal. Fraser provided several very interesting and appropriate hiking locations. His locations were perfect. Fraser also served a delicious breakfast. Great place to stay!!!
Fraser was very hospitable. He accommodated our late check - in A nice note and instructions to order breakfast, which he had promptly ready when we made it to the dining room. Breakfast was delicious and he was very friendly to talk to.
This was a wonderful place to stay! Very clean and safe. It’s easy to walk to downtown from here where the pubs and shops are. Fraser is friendly and kind and full of suggestions for things to do and see in Inverness. The breakfasts were delicious. If you’re a dog person his dogs are super friendly and sweet. I highly recommend Ballifeary Guest House.
We had an exceptional stay at this charming bed and breakfast! The rooms were spotless, and the entire place felt warm and welcoming. The host went above and beyond, offering fantastic suggestions for local attractions that truly enhanced our visit. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend! Thank you Fraser! :)
Fraser is a wonderful host. Very attentive and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The breakfast choices are diverse and delicious. Plant milk available if you are non dairy. There are fresh flowers in vases everywhere, especially in the breakfast room. Charming, inside and out. Short walk to the town center.
Nice B and B in Inverness. Fraser was helpful and professional. Place was great. We traveled without a car and the place is a 15- 20 min walk from city center and train station. It is a pleasant walk across the Ness river.
Just be aware of check in and check out times as it is a small B and B and not a hotel. We are giving the stay a five star review and highly recommend it!
We do have some suggestions :
We found the room a bit chilly . The windows were east facing in our room . The very early to rise May Scottish Sun had us waking up in panic that we had overslept!!! Black out drapes would be a lovely addition to this nice place.
We would have no hesitation in booking this place again!
During a 10-day tour of Scotland that included 5 different accommodations, Ballifeary Guest House was unquestionably our best stay. The guest house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood & provided both abundant street parking & a gated parking area on the property. The house itself is elegant & beautifully decorated. Vases of fresh-cut flowers were abundant. Our room was light, bright, & well-appointed. The bed was heavenly & we were delighted by the shower's excellent water pressure. Before departing, we enjoyed a delicious, full breakfast with all the fixings. We found all features of the Ballifeary Guest House to be excellent and we would highly recommend it!!
We would be remiss, however, if we failed to note the best feature of our stay - our host, Fraser. Not only was Fraser an unfailingly gracious host, but he was extraordinarily friendly & informative as well. After amiable chats as to where we were from, where we'd been thus far in Scotland, and what our next plans were, Fraser offered excellent tips for local sights in Inverness as well as suggestions for our continued journey. Given how well his suggestions for Inverness worked out, we actually completely revamped one day of our itinerary to follow his suggested driving route & the sights he recommended along the way. We are so grateful that we did as we had a beautiful drive thru the Scottish coutryside & saw several awesome sights that weren't listed on any of the tourism sites we'd reviewed. Thank you, Fraser!!
Ballifeary was absolutely wonderful. The room was lovely, the food was excellent, and Fraser was an amazing host who saved the last of our trip. We had a route planned back to Edinburgh that wouldn't have really showed off the highlands, and Fraser gave us recommendations on how to go instead. His recommendations for Inverness were spot on as well. So glad that we stayed here!
Ballifeary is a beautiful home. Fraser is the consummate gentleman. He gave us great ideas for places to visit in the area. The main part of town is only 5 - 8 minute walk and he knew all the best places and the need to make reservations. Each morning we received a delicious breakfast which we chose from a menu the night before. It was ready at the time we chose to be in the dining area.
