Papa's Palace at Stacy Ranch, cabin on 120 acres between Ingram & Hunt, TX

Good News, see notice at the end. This newly constructed wood and rock cabin has a front porch that overlooks a pond. It is perfect for a quiet, secluded get-away from the city. You can go hiking over the hills, fish down on the river or just relax in the hammock. All kinds of native and exotic Texas wildlife can be seen on the property. The cabin is located just a half mile off Cade Loop road on 120 acres. This area is the most beautiful part of the Texas Hill Country. Though the cabin is out in the country, it is less than a five minute drive to the Guadalupe River and Ingram Lake. The cabin has 400 square feet of living area with a living room/ kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and large toaster oven. The living room has a couch that converts into a queen sleeping sofa. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. Ceiling fans are in every room and there are two fans on the front porch. Electric hotel-like ac/heating units in the bedrooms keep you warm or cool. It is a perfect place for a couple or a small family. All of this, plus the modern luxury of limited data ;free WI-FI!

Notice
The lake is full again. We are in the process of restocking fish. We respect to have catch and release fishing in the fall of 2025. Also there are plenty of
swimming and fishing opportunities on Lake Ingram 5 minutes away. So bring your Kayaks or canoes if you want.

If you need more space, there is another cabin (Mimi's Mansion) on the property within walking distance (see VRBO #682415). Discounts given if you book both cabins at the same time .

Cozy country cabin

We had a great stay at the property. It was close to town but also felt like you were in the middle of no where. We took advantage of the hiking and fishing on the property as well as the fire pit. The beds were comfortable so we all slept well.

This place is a gem!

We had a wonderful time in this little cabin. It was completely secluded, peaceful, and serene. At dusk each night, a whippoorwill started singing and we saw several deer. The sunsets were amazing! It was very comfortable and relaxing.

Cozy and Clean

The property was exactly what we wanted for our trip. We took plenty of walks and spent some time swimming with the very social fish in the lake. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future. If you're staying in the warmer months though mosquito spray will be your best friend.

Great private rental!

My kids enjoyed the pond the best and the freedom that all the open space provided. There were clear cool star filled nights and a perfect sitting porch. The cabin is simple, clean and perfect for a small family. Next trip I hope to have friends secure the second cabin on the property.

Very Peaceful and Beautiful

My wife and I had a very relaxing time at Stacy Ranch, we fished for about 4 hours and caught perch after perch and threw them back in. While there we watch a thgunder storm roll in through the valley, it was awesome!

A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle.

This place is quiet, peaceful and great to explore. We enjoyed feeding the different fish and turtle watching in the pond. We explored the 120 acres and sighted wild turkeys, deers, birds, and small frogs. It was a great getaway from the city. Beautiful sunrise and setsunt over the hills was a bonus. Definelty going to book again in the near future.

Beautiful Getaway

This is exactly what we were looking for on Memorial Day weekend. My husband and I are nature lovers and wanted to get away from the crowds and enjoy some quiet time. We had 120 acres all to ourselves and got to hike and explore. We saw lots of wildlife and incredible starry skies that we don’t get to see in the city. Our hosts were wonderful and made themselves readily available if we needed anything. The cabin was very clean and comfortable with a great porch that we used often. We were even greeted with a bouquet of fresh flowers on the table. It was a slice of heaven and we can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic get away.

We've stayed at many places in the Hill Country. This place is the best of many worlds. If you want to just relax and go for nice walks this place is perfect - which is what we wanted to do. However, if you are want to have quiet and experience the nearby town and activities this place is conveniently located. We felt like we were way out in the country but it is a quick run into town. A lot of care and work has been put into the accommodations and the property in general that make for a great wonderful and relaxing stay. We will be going back.

Always Great

We’ve returned for a 3rd visit and can’t wait for the opportunity to come back. This is better than Home. It’s always difficult to pack-up and leave the cabin. Every time we stay here, I’m rested, relaxed and rejuvenated. For us, it’s the absolute perfect place. We’re grateful for the Stacy’s and their selfless act of sharing what they have. We’ve benefited from their generosity and kindness. “Papa’s Palace”, come to Ingram Texas and check it out !

Quaint cabin on beautiful land

We loved our stay at Papa’s Palace. It’s a small cabin but it has everything you need. The owners were very thoughtful with everything inside from the coffee and tea to the books and games. We had a great time fishing down at the pond and sitting by the fire at night. We drove through the jeep trail and saw many deer! Going in the winter is really the best time of year to be there. Far enough out to feel remote but close enough to town that you can run in for a meal. There is another cabin within view so keep that in mind. It would be great for two couples or family to stay in both. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Beautiful scenery!

Loved it!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My only complaint would be the lack of blinds and/or curtains on some of the windows. We had a horrible thunderstorm the first night and there was no way to block out the flashes of lightning. However other than that small inconvenience, it was a perfect stay! If you’re looking for a country stay, away from noise and crowds, this is the great place.

Absolutely Perfect!

We were looking for a secluded place to fish and bring in the New Year, 2021, and this was it! Beautiful hill country, plenty to explore, and yes, fish! Caught a beautiful bass. It snowed almost all day New Years Eve, which made for an even more unique and amazing experience. The cabin was perfect. We did bring a camping stove, although there was a hot plate provided. Heater kept the cabin toasty warm. I had a few questions, which were responded to very quickly. Hope to go back and enjoy in the warmer months too. This space is very special. The stars at night were incredible. Thank you for allowing us to visit your cabin to the ring in the New Year. I will never forget it. Respectively, Cindy

Quaint Little Cabin, All We Needed!

My husband and I visited the Stacy Ranch from Fri to Sun. The cabin was cute and had the essentials. The lake was amazing! The water is super clear and you feel like you're looking down into an aquarium! The water temperature was great too! A little advice for men planning to swim or women... the fish are fed by guests what appears to be small dog food pellets or fish food. I suggest wearing a shirt and covering any large moles that might be seen by fish, they will 'nibble' on anything that closely resembles the food. We tried to fish, but because the water is so clear, the aquatic plant life has no problem thriving so between the fish not being hungry from being fed by guests and getting hung on the bottom, fishing was...ehh. We will change our approach next time. Overall, superb place to stay and we intend to be back at least before the end of the year if not before the end of the summer! Thanks Stacys! Melissa and Kory
