Alpine Luxury in Obergurl

I booked this hotel at the last moment without knowing much about the area, other than I was going Obergurgl to ski. I was pleasantly surprised! I was greeted by Rebekka who walked me through all of the hotel amenities while serving me a welcome beverage. She handled every detail of my stay, including arranging my four day ski pass. The hotel if beautifully appointed in the Alpine style. I didn't know what "half board" meant when I booked the hotel...it means that dinner, as well as breakfast was included with my room! The staff and food at the restaurant is amazing...the dinner was a different five course meal each night! After a long day of skiing, it was nice to come back to the hotel to unwind in the indoor pool, sauna and steam room....ahhhh!! I will be bringing my family with me next time to stay at this wonderful hotel...even though I was traveling alone, it is also ideal for families! This is a true diamond of a hotel in Tyrol!

Dit is een heel luxueuze accommodatie gelegen in een uitstekend skigebied. Service is gewoon top! De kamer die wij hadden en die als "de luxe" wordt omschreven was wel de kleinste kamer die ik in Oostenrijk al heb gehad.

Gutes Hotel mit Tücken

Netter Empfang, während wir begrüßt wurden, wurde das Auto geparkt und das Gepäck aufs Zimmer gebracht. Dieses war nicht wirklich groß, zu viert war es recht eng. Jedoch wirklich ausgezeichnetes Essen und sehr freundliche/herzliche Kellner. Service hat 100% gepasst. Der Wellnessbereich (eigentlich 2) sauber und ausreichend groß. Hinzu kam Kaiserwetter zum Schifahren. Aufgrund ernormer Schneemengen in der Nacht waren am Abreisetag alle Straßen gesperrt. Wir hatten keine Schneeketten dabei - und passende im Ort zu erwerben war nahezu unmöglich. Die Rezeption war hierbei nicht behilflich ("das müssen Sie sich schon selber organsieren"). Wir waren nicht die einzigen Gäste mit diesem Problem. Das Nachbarhotel "Edelweiß" war hier organsierter und freundlicher, hatte nicht nur Ketten für Gäste lagernd sondern diese auch montiert! Tipp: Schneeketten immer mitnehmen! Auch die unbeabsichtigte Verlängerungsnacht wurde 100% berechnet.

Sehr gutes Hotel, super Service, toller Wellness-Bereich, 1A Essen und perfekt zum Skifahren (Skiraum mit "privaten" Heizplatz für Schuhe, eine paar Schritte zum Lift, Skiservice um die Ecke-mit Prozenten). Sehr gut war auch die gratis Nutzung von Duschen, Umkleide, 15:00Uhr Brotzeit, Parkplatz und Kofferservice für den Late-Check-Out. So kann man am Abreisetag noch total entspannt Skifahren und frisch und gestärkt die Heimreise antreten.

Отель реконструирован в прошлом году. Новые номера. Отличная кухня (шикарный завтрак, очень хороший ужин и в качестве приятного дополнения - полдник) Очень понравился сна-комплекс Второй раз в этой гостинице. Очень нравится. Een aanrader door de mensen en het eten.

Bij de boeking was de communicatie een beetje onduidelijk. Ik had een twee persoons kamer geboekt en kreeg een bevestiging van het hotel dat het een 1 persoonskamer was. Na veel heen en weer gebel werd ik gerustgesteld. Bleek dat de andere kamers in het hotel suites waren. Hoewel klein, was de kamer wel ok. Er was een flatscreen tv met vele digitale kanalen, voldoende kastruimte en badkamer met douche. Het was er wel enorm heet waardoor we het raam dag en nacht open moesten laten staan. Op zich niet erg, ware het niet dat er 's nachts veel lawaai was van de kroeg aan de overkant van de straat. Tot nu toe een matig verhaal, ware het niet dat het personeel over zichzelf heen valt om het je naar de zin te maken. Heel erg vriendelijke mensen van de baliemedewerker tot de schoonmaakster van de kamer. Daarnaast was het eten fantastisch. Elke ochtend een enorm uitgebreid ontbijt, desgewenst met gratis champagne. 's Middags was er nog een soort afternoon snack, maar die hebben wij nooit genomen en 's avonds elke avond een zes gangen menu met drie mogelijke hoofdgerechten. Skipas kon bij de balie gekocht worden en de skilockers waren goed verzorgd en ook lekker warm. Al met al een goede ervaring. Volgens de baliemedewerker zou volgend laagseizoen de verwarming aangepast worden zodat die beter te regelen is en het dus niet meer zo heet is op sommige kamers.

Super freundliches Top Hotel

Ea war ein ganz spontaner Kurzurlaub für nur 1 Nacht. Schon der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Insgesamt waren alle Angestellten sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich war schon in vielen Hotels. Aber in diesem war es wirklich besonders. Ich denke nicht, dass wir das letzte mal dort waren.

Superb stay in a superb hotel.

Brilliant location, super clean, great rooms, fantastic and relaxing stay. We really enjoyed the sauna and steam room facilities which were spotless. The whole hotel was immaculate and a real testament to the staff that work there. The best bit about the stay was the restaurant and in particular the service at the restaurant. If you are lucky enough to be on the side of the restaurant with Arpad and Michel then you are in for a real treat. These guys treated us like royalty and made the evening visit to the restaurant even more pleasurable. The chef at the restaurant is also amazing. The food was incredible. Well done Hotel Gurglhof. We would definitely stay again (tomorrow if possible) and would definitely recommend this hotel. Worth every penny.

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel in Dorfmitte, nahe Skiliften

Das Hotel GURGLHOF liegt zentral in Obergurgl, einer schneesicheren Region in Tirol. Skilifte liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe (ca 100 m). Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet bis fabelhaft und lässt kaum gastronomische Wünsche offen. Das gesamte Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Lediglich das Fehlen eines größeren Parkings sowie eines Schwimmbades wäre evtl. zu bemängeln, wobei der Wellnessbereich mit mehreren Saunen sehr ansprechend ist. Darüber hinaus gibt es (noch) keinen Whirlpool. Wir haben aber vernommen, dass das Hotel GURGLHOF große Investitionen in genau diese Bereiche der Infrastruktur unternimmt, um im kommenden Jahr noch besser aufzutreten. Das Hotel ist absolut und bedingungslos jedem anspruchsvollen Reisenden zu empfehlen. Das schreibt jemand, der ca 120 Nächte/Jahr in gehobenen Hotels in ganz Europa verbringt. Wir haben bereits ein Angebot für das kommende Jahr gefragt. GURGLHOF = TOP !

Great service, rooms and food

A very friendly hotel we went to late in the ski season. Food excellent, especially the great breakfast choice. Beds were really comfortable and the hotel staff park your car without fuss and make you feel very welcome from the outset. The location is excellent for skiing - if we returned to Obergurgl, we'd certainly stay at this charming hotel again.

Nice hotel in line with expectations

We stayed 4 nights for a ski weekend. The rooms are clean but nothing exceptional. Conditions seem to vary compared to what is advertised on their website. Food is decent and plentiful. Breakfast buffet offers lots of choice and the evening 5 course meal and afternoon cakes are a nice touch. Service in general is good, although the attempt to charge €2.50 for a tiny bit of milk for tea did put a sour note at the end (they took it off the bill in the end) Would recommend.
