A charming little house surrounded by nature, in a wonderful setting. Here, you can fully enjoy peace and space. The cottage is completely independent. The owners live 30 meters away, on the same property. Of course, they won’t bother you!
The house in nature is located in a beautiful valley, nestled among an olive grove and an orchard. Especially in spring and autumn, but often even in the winter months, the temperature is pleasant, allowing you to fully enjoy the tranquility and nature. The orchard and garden offer something to taste almost all year round, such as pears, figs, persimmons, citrus fruits, almonds, and chestnuts for roasting. In spring, the orchard takes on a particularly special look thanks to the colors of wildflowers, including numerous species of wild orchids.
A wonderful place, but the road to get there is often described as "exciting." The narrow road leading to the cottage, about 200 meters long, turns into a dirt track and becomes quite steep at the end. If you do not feel for this adventure, there is always the possibility to leave the car at the neighbors at about 50 meters,
With a good book—or also without—you can enjoy the immediate surroundings of the house. But there’s more... The coast is about 10 kilometers away. Rough rock formations alternate with beautiful, long sandy beaches, as well as small and quiet ones. Outside the high season, you’ll practically have them to yourself, whether for lounging or walking.
This part of Sardinia is also home to numerous and vast nature reserves, where you can take beautiful hikes and bike rides. Inside the house, you will find hiking maps and brochures with detailed descriptions of the trails. The capital, Cagliari, is definitely worth a visit. The San Benedetto covered fish market is bustling in the morning and offers a wide variety of freshly caught seafood. The historic center, perched on a hill, provides stunning views of the Gulf of Cagliari, as well as the Molentargius salt flats and wetlands. The National Archaeological Museum traces Sardinia’s fascinating history through an extensive collection. Visiting the Nuraghe of Barumini with this knowledge makes this pre-Bronze Age settlement even more impressive.
But you can also go sailing or canoeing along the coast, horseback riding, or rock climbing... There are truly too many things for me to list!
