Enjoy a stay at a Romantic and modern 1 bedroom/ 1bathroom cabin with lots of character and full amenities. The cabin is pet friendly and is fenced all around the property, Also, there is another two bedrooms cabin next door that is also available for rental for larger groups. This beautiful cabin is located in the great Fern Valley neighborhood and is within walking distance to Strawberry Creek , shops , Art Galleries, Antique shops and restaurants. It also has a large patio with a new top of the line Jacuzzi Hot Tub/Spa and a magnificent view of Tahquitz Rock and surrounding mountains as well as the evening stars. The patio is ideal for sun bathing, dining, reading, or relaxing.

The cabin itself has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table that seats 4 people, living room with wood burning fire and 1 bedroom with an amazingly comfortable memory foam queen sized bed. The rooms have Dish Network (250 channels) and have a Smart TV with streaming capabilities. The living room has 55'' Flat Screen/Smart TV. The cabin also has wireless Broadband (High Speed) Internet access, two cordless telephones with free local and long distance service in the United States, and washer/dryer. Pet's are welcome for an extra $35.00 fee per pet, expecting your pet is fully house broken, please disclose the pet's breed. Pet's are not to lay on the furniture and bed.
For your convenience, cabin door is open for you upon your arrival and the key is on the kitchen table.

Rates and all other fees are subject to change.

Please email or call for availability. Guest are to sign and initial the Owners/Management Short Term Occupancy Agreement prior to occupancy.

Christmas, New Years, Holidays Rates are higher and subject to change. Such as 4th of July and Labor Day ect. You are welcome to book the cabin for One night with in 24 hour request prior to your checking date.

Cozy cabin in the woods

This is a really nice place to stay.However, there were a few things that you might consider doing to improve the stay for guests.1. The house was a toasty 85 degrees inside when we arrived because the air conditioner wasn't on.2. The remote controller for the TV was dead. It needed to be charged. Luckily my husband brought his laptop and we were able to watch a movie on the TV screen.3. There were no napkins or paper towels in the cabin. We did prepare a few meals so we had no choice but to use washcloths in place of napkins. Also, tissues would have been nice to have in the bathroom.4. Ants were coming in through the seal of the faucet. We killed them with spider spray we found under the sink.5. The smoke detector in the bedroom was making noise so my husband took it down. We found the battery was dead but weren't able to find a new battery until today. There was a new once in a drawer in the coffee table. 6. The photo is of a floorboard next to the wood burning stove that is loose.7. The jacuzzi itself isn't loud. The issue is that the filter was turning on and off all night long. It was hard to sleep when you're used to sleeping without outside noise, especially because it's so close to your bedroom.

Unfortunately not very clean.

Pros:- The hosts were really kind and quick to respond to messages- The location was good and it was easy to get to hikes or the center of townOverall, staying here was a negative experience due to some issues with cleanliness and comfort. It was also really poor value for the money spent. We would have been better off finding a hotel or another cabin.Here are some cons: - There was mildew in the bathroom- Our first morning there, a gardener came by and we had received no heads up or warning. Given that the two entrances to the home are glass doors (and that one of them doesn't even have a curtain), this felt like a huge violation of privacy- There were lots of spiderwebs near the entrance and by the hot tub despite the fact that someone had come by that day- Dirty curtains and stains on the sofa- AC is small and too far from the bedroom to actually cool things down at night- Front door wouldn’t properly lock- There were wet towels in the washer when we arrived. We were happy to throw them in the dryer, but it was still strange to arrive to a rental that wasn't ready- The towels set up for us in the bathroom had red stains on them- The bed was uncomfortable for two people- There were ants in the kitchen to the point where we didn't leave any food outside, only in the fridge, including bananas, nuts, etc.

Great Retreat

We loved the large deck, privacy, plenty of trees and peacefulness at the cabin. It was a very relaxing stay for my husband and I. Kathy was very accomodating with us.

Beautiful Trees!

Very nice property! We enjoyed our stay very much! Spa was delightful. The cabin was cozy and we enjoyed having the nice kitchen for cooking. Our pups had a great time as well but could have enjoyed the fully fenced yard if there were not holes allowing access to the crawl space under the deck. Definitely loved the area and the little town of Fern Valley and Idyllwild.

Absolutely filthy

It has potential if it was remotely sanitary. The host told it's normal wear and tear and told me to leave. Soap scum on shower liner, dirty light switches, door knobs, doors, floors, curtains. It was awful. I thought okay at least the bed smells clean and then while I was making it this morning I saw the crusty glob of something on the comforter we just slept under. But the host said that dirt is just normal wear and tear and that i can check out. But VRBO can't get a hold of her to get me a refund for the night stay we paid for. I have all the picture's. There is a really nice hotel/cabin resort down the street. You can get a multi room cabin that is clean for the same price as a night in this nightmare.

Cozy cabin in the woods

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! There is a huge fenced yard, so my dogs had so much fun running around! And we loved sitting in the hot tub at night & looking up at the stars. Close to town & easy to find. And the property host was very communicative & fast with their responses. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The Cozy Relaxed Cabin

My wife, a teacher requested a short getaway as her Christmas gift this year. I found this romantic cabin in Fern Valley. We reconnected, relaxed, and a lot of fun. The cabin was delightful. The host was kind and responsive. We have marked this listing on Vrbo as a favorite in hopes of returning.

The property is perfect for a couple or a small family of 4. Hot Tub is great, the internet is a little spotty but keep in mind this is the mountains. The property owners were very attentive and responsive.

Cute with wonderful hot tub and prime location

We enjoyed our stay very much in this clean and cute cabin. It was close enough to town but still very quiet and nestled in the woods. We did have difficulty with the heater in the living room. It seemed to turn itself off after a certain time at night, on both nights, so we had to use the electric radiator in our bedroom. The hot tub was perfect with Tahquits peak in front of us to admire.

Comfortable Getaway with Great Amenities

We had a wonderful stay in Idyllwild. The rental was clean, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. The fireplace and hot tub were fantastic additions that made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s only a 25-minute walk to town and about 10 minutes to a few great restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends!

Perfect Little Cabin

Rustic romantic cabin in the woods

Idyllwild is a sweet little town and the cabin’s neighborhood was lovely and quiet which was a good thing as the front door lock didn’t work (check in was easy..just come on in). The linens were pristine and the kitchen and bathroom sparkling clean but the kitchen sink did stop working (we hauled hot water from the bathroom to wash dishes in the kitchen.) The hot tub was great and provided great viewing of the neighborhood squirrels in the big trees surrounding the cabin.

Sweet place in the trees

I was a very sweet little place to stay. The hosts were very accomodating and we loved staying among the trees, yet close to town. It would have been helpful to have some welcome information: how to turn on the heater, how to use the apple tv remote, a note that the key didn't work in the front door. Since we got there late on a nite that turned suddenly cold, it would have been nice to have matches, paper and kindling. Still, it was a wonderful place to stay and would definitely return.
