Charming House

A charming house with all the amenities which made our family's stay fun and comfortable. The lava room was our grandsons' favorite. The location was within walking distance to the village. The hosts were helpful and easily receptive to our needs. I could this house being our family's favorite annual retreat

Great cabin, great location as well

Cabin was stocked very well with everything you would need. The entire place was extremely clean as well which is not always the case for places that allow pets. We enjoyed our stay and our kids really liked the Kids area in the crawl space. I will be staying here again.

Wonderful Getaway

The Cedar Street house is great... perfect location, walkable to everything, beautiful surrounds and views and even with the very close proximity to the village feels tucked away in its own little pocket of forest. The house was immaculate and very well appointed with supplies for our family of five and furball companion. Would definitely stay again.

Great Mountain Getaway

This mountain home is located right in town within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues the town has to offer. The home was well stocked with everything you would need and quite comfortable.

Location, location, location

Just a short walk to town. Location is a park like setting complete with fruit trees and meandering trails through an 1/2 acre of forest. Cabin is sparkling clean full of any amenities you may need.

5 Star Retreat

We loved our stay at Cedar Street. The house is spotless, every detail accounted for, great information left for all guests, and the proximity to town was perfect for a family getaway. My little one loved exploring the property. And our daily trek to get some ice cream was a cool treat during the hot summer day. We hope to make it back to Cedar Street again!

Wonderful Stay

Spent a long weekend in the Cedar Retreat with our family of 5 adults. We couldn’t have asked for a better rental. This place was cozy, comfortable, clean, well stocked and just overall perfect for our needs. We loved relaxing in the yard, playing catch on the road in front of the cabin, and warming up at night in the comfy living room while enjoying a fire. The beds were comfortable too. It was nice to be able to just walk to town for dinner or shopping, yet the location is still so quiet. We plan on returning for sure!

Home away from home

Best location. Nice home. Cool backyard. Kitchen well stocked. I wish the beds were bigger... if you are used to your space in bed, the house won't sleep more than 3-5 people. Beds were noisy, beddings were nice and comfy with lots of pillows. Overall, we loved it there and will be back.

WOW!

We LOVED our little family getaway! Cabin is just as described, the small creek was running, saw huge squirrels and bluejays in the yard! Here during some rain so our planned hike had to be cancelled but walked the town and neighborhood instead which worked out great! Came across a nice big running creek with the dogs! And we woke up to some snow on the ground in the mornings that was absolutely beautiful! Wish we stayed a little longer!

Very Comfortable and Lovely Home

What a gem. Very lovely home with all the amenities you could ever wish for. I knew it was close to town, but was extremely surprised it was on this quiet cul-de-sac across the street from Ferro's, one of our favorite restaurants we love going to. Such a pleasure to be able to walk all over town and not worry about parking. We immensely enjoyed our stay and Melissa was very accommodating and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay.

Charming and comfortable

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the house. It is very well provisioned, clean, and comfortable. Melissa goes above and beyond to ensure both you and the house are prepared for a pleasant stay. The location of the house is VERY convenient as you can walk just a few blocks and be in the center of town. The linens and towels are good quality, the kitchen is well stocked for prepping food, and the living room is perfect for hanging out around the fire and watching TV. Coffee table was perfect for a jigsaw puzzle!

Delightful in every way!

This property has it all. Location, comfort, cleanliness and all the amenities you could want. The outdoor patio has umbrellas for day use and a gas fire pit for evenings. The large living room was perfect for watching TV, playing games or doing puzzles. The decor is rustic yet cozy. The surrounding property is covered with trees; the perfect setting for a scavenger hunt for my grandsons. Also, lots of wildlife to watch while relaxing on the patio. My family just loved it and are begging me to rent it again next year. Melissa is a great host and responded immediately to any questions I had. Hope to stay there again next summer!

Comfortable cabin for the whole family

We spent 3 nights and had fantastic stay! The house is well-outfitted (stocked kitchen and bathrooms) and very comfortable (nice layout with central hang out zone and cozy furniture). The outdoor space was a highlight - our group included two children ages 3 and 5, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents - and the kids loved all the animal decorations, bridges, and pathways in the backyard, while the adults enjoyed the deck and patio seating (great for bird watching!). Our first few days were warm and the house stayed very cool with just fans (didn’t have to use the AC). The kids also loved playing with the toys and games that were at the house and climbing the ladder to the lava lounge. It was a pleasure working with Melissa - definitely recommend this place!

Magical Home

We had a wonderful weekend on Cedar Street. The home was so warm and cozy! We appreciated the artistically placed touches throughout the home. The living room was much bigger than it appeared in the photos. We had lots of family time playing games around the beautiful fireplace. We appreciates being able to walk to restaurants, shops and grocery stores from the home. We were unable to enjoy the outside due to the rain. We will be back again to spend some time in the awesome backyard. Melissa was very responsive and helpful. Her kindness regarding our dog’s stay was valued by all of us!

Fabulous Property!

Would come back to this property over and over! Location is perfect with a short walk to get into town for restaurants, shops and small town feel. The hosts were so communicative in every way.... we travel with 2 Golden Retrievers and they made their stay so comfortable as well! Large yard to play in and welcoming treats, dog bowls, paw wipes too! Kitchen is very well stocked with just about everything you could use or want! Can't say enough about this perfect place to stay!!!

Location and comfortable

This property is wonderful! I’ve been going to Idyllwild for years and have stayed many places. The location of this home is perfect and the grounds are interesting and fun!! Three bridges over a seasonal creek. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice. The couches and fireplace combo were perfect for us. Being about to bring the dogs was convenient and the house was very clean and didn’t smell like any pets or anything. We lived it all!! The kids especially loved the lava lounge and extra games.

Peacemas get away

We were there for just one quick night, but it was our first time to Idyllwild and we fell in love with the little town just seconds away walking from the cabin.The cabin was spacious and easily accommodated our family of six and our two dogs.We will definitely be coming back!
