"We had a wonderful stay at Bab Gammon. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. Since we travelled with younger children in February, the heated pool was a great choice for us. With two cats and five turtoises in the garden, staying in for the day didn’t get boring. Said and Aziza, who are the caretakers of this property prepared a wonderful breakfast every day and dinners of our choosing. The beef Tajine was absolutely phenomenal! "After a few days in the sweltering heat of Marrakech, Dar Do provided a very welcome escape. We all loved the house, it was very spacious and had plenty of space for our party of 6. Everything we needed for our 10-day stay was provided and Said was on hand to help with any requests we had. The swimming pool was fantastic! I would thoroughly recommend it."

"Wonderful stay, Patrick was always there to give advice before we arrived. The villa was beautiful rural but an oasis behind the gates. Said was on hand all the time for anything we needed, exceptional host. Plenty of space for all 10 of us, the tortoises were a joy Without hesitation i would return!inheartbeat"

"We rented the property for four nights. The property was covered in dust. The pool was coverd with dirt, pool black worms and dead bugs. Our kids didn't feel safe to swim of course. I reminded the host frequently to come and clean. Finally, the pool was cleaned somehow by the third day. The interior of the house was dusty- spiders and Cocroaches everywhere. The rate wasn't cheap an I came to enjoy my stay not to worry about the property condition or the host's rudness. Please, if you're not...

"This was an amazing stay Jamal and his wife go all out to give guests a great experience- nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is huge with a big selection of different items. The pool was an added bonus. The lady who cooks (sorry I don’t recall her name) is friendly and helpful as well as a good cook! It’s a few miles/kilometres out of Essaouira so a car is probably preferable but if you want a fab place to stay that is peaceful, calm and clean then this is the place for you! I will certainly return there if I visit Essaouira again. I just enjoyed chilling out by the pool and popping into Essaouira late afternoon/early evening. If I had one tiny criticism it’s about the coffee- I drink loads every day and if they’d invest in a proper coffee machine that would be an 11/10! However the fantastic Tea Royal more than made up for the lack of coffee machine! Merci Beaucoup. A la prochaine! "

"Perfect holiday! Beautiful house - lots of space and beautifully designed. The swimming pool was an absolute delight and the tortoises in the garden were a hit with everyone. To top it all, Said and Samira’s warmth and helpfulness was second to none. Samira cooked us some fantastic meals that made the holiday so special. We would highly recommend and would love to return. "The hotel was not good. The towels were shockingly old, the pillows REALLY old and the rooms uncomfortable. The whole stay was uncomfortable and shockingly bad for the price they were charging. The service was incredible. Mohammed was amazing. But I feel the owners of Villa Daba whom we never saw must be overcharging and letting the hotel go into disarray. The conditions of the room were shockingly old. I've never in my life seen pillows like this, or towels this old. If you're charging this much and insisting on cash payment, you must provide items not from decades ago. Also, it's not Essaouira. It's deceiving. Everywhere it says Villa Daba Essaouira. But it's 15 min from Essaouira. There is nothing close. Nothing. And the villa only offers a breakfast and that's it. The rooms are really hot and became insufferable at night, you can't open windows, no screens and lots of bugs. Tourist trap. We got a really bad rash from the pool and shower gel. Avoid."

"This villa was a paradise for my family of four (kids 12 and 10) after days in the road in the desert and the southern coast. People were ready for down time and the beautiful, tranquil secluded property was perfect. We mostly cooked our own meals, hung out by the pool, read, played games and relaxed. The property is gorgeous, the beds are comfortable and clean and the villa is stocked with almost anything you could need. The owner and property manager were both very helpful and responsive. No issues whatsoever. Such a perfect stay!The two things to note: 1. Access to the property is off of an unsigned dirt road from R211, NOT as indicated on Google maps. 2. While there is a hammam on the property it needs to be booked and otherwise is locked and off-limits.Highly recommended. One of the best stays of our 5-week trip!"
