Superb 19C stone house with yard, 3 mins walk - no steps - to Hydra port
10/10 Excellent
"The host met us at the port and walked us to the apartment and that was a nice bonus because navigating can be confusing when first arriving. The apartment was as described in the listing with perhaps one exception. It was not clear to us that there are actually 3 floors of living space because the kitchen/laundry are in the "basement". As stated in the listing, if you have any mobility issues with stairs, this may not be suitable for you. The two living spaces, one near the kitchen and one on the middle floor, are both comfortable and the beds were also very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and having a laundry was great! The outdoor seating in the Courtyard complete with electrical outlets was very, very nice and we spent quite a bit of time sitting outside in the sun. All in all a very nice stay for us as a couple but we are very fit and mobile and if we had older people or small children traveling with us, it would not have worked well."
"The property is perched high up, some 120 steps up from the harbour. If you don’t feel like carrying your own luggage you can hire the service of a local mule for 20 euros. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable recommending local restaurants. Our room (201) was situated at the end where of the building overlooking the harbour. We had a terrace at the rear to sit and enjoy a glass of wine but this did not have a view. Our shower doors were missing but this was not an issue.s the beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean all round. A number of options for the continental breakfast were offered including scrambled eggs and bacon which was bonus. The clock tower strikes at the hour and half hour throughout the day but ceases at 10pm and restarts at 6am! That was a bit of shock after the first night! Access to good waking along the coast of Hydra and island day hoping should you want to. We think you’d exhaust all attractions in 2 days but just watching the yachts in the harbour passes the time. "
"Very pretty and historic mansion/farmhouse hotel in a gorgeous setting. Very good breakfast. My only complaint was we had a hard time finding staff to checkout."
"The Bratsera was such a lovely place to stay! It is rich with history and offers premium food options. The rooms are a tad older but that just adds to the charm. The staff was warm, inviting and incredibly helpful. It is close to cafes and shops. Perfect stay for anyone looking for a cozy spot on Hydra!"
"We stayed in this apartment 2 years ago and were so pleased it was available for this stay. Great location in quiet area. We loved the large room and full kitchen. Fresh warm bread is delivered every morning for breakfast. Lovely!"
"Great Property in the middle of Hydra.
Staff was excellent. Room was cozy and comfortable.
Gym was excellent for a property this size and breakfast was also wonderful"
