"Best cottage we've stayed so far. Clean and very well stocked with anything you might desire. Superfast internet, Netflix included, beautiful area and dog proofed patio to let the hounds smell fresh air without escaping.Comfortable bed, cozy bathroom. The building was to be lived in permanently and that shows in each and every part.The hosts are incredibly welcoming and we had some sparkling with scones and freshly baked bread waiting upon arrival."

"Brand new hotel in a convenient location - easy walking distance to the station and the cathedral. Parking arrangements in the nearby Forum multi-storey worked well. Staff especially helpful while getting used to the new facility themselves. Quality of food excellent both at breakfast and for all-day dining in the ground floor open plan restaurant. Prices above average but value for money in terms of quality. We came here for the Three Choirs Festival and were pleased to find a good quality hotel within easy distance to and from the Cathedral. We were given an accessible room with additional facilities to accommodate someone with mobility issues. 5 Stars all round."

"Unexpectedly an excellent nights sleep for a young family. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it was clean, well maintained, had very welcoming staff & Yorkshire tea in the rooms. The curtains were heavy black out, the windows kept the noise out, the mattress felt new and supportive & a fan was provided for the heat. My child slept & wasn’t woken up by daylight, traffic noise, the stifling heat or worries about cleanliness. Plus they could have a bath. Win."

The breakfast was lovely there could be a better bread choice selection and it gets busy and the staff are at full stretch but it didn't detract from their professionalism. We used the bus and if you plan and get the right ticket it works saves messing around looking for parking spots.Thoroughly recommend."

From the night receptionist when we pulled in on Friday night after a nightmare 7 hour drive, to the manager (I believe…) who rewarded our toddler’s politeness with a bubble blower toy, we couldn’t have had a more wonderful stay. We will absolutely be back, and soon!"

"A well located hotel in a very pleasant setting with extensive gardens at the rear with woods and golf course beyond. The public rooms were attractive and the staff were excellent, especially in the bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking spaces onsite. Breakfast was as good as expected held in a large attractive room overlooking the rear. The bedroom was in a more 'modern' wing to the side, facing the green space to the rear. Fine, but the decor requires updating. There was some noise from the floor above. but then one cannot account for other guests!"
