Beautiful and well ran
The property was incredible. The house is beautiful and everything was well thought out and organized. Check-in was seamless and the property manager was easy to get in touch with and helpful. We started every day going to to the beach then coming back rinsing off in the outside shower then swimming in the pool, then we would go in and make some food in the well supplied kitchen and then go see the island. This house is abutted to the Humacao nature preserve where you can go kayaking and hiking. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful house in a great location
We spent two weeks here and loved it. The house is roomy and well appointed, with a very nice pool, shaded sitting area in the enclosed yard, and plenty of indoor space. The house is about 100 yards from a great ocean beach. It is in a gated community that adjoins a nature preserve that features lots of walking, jogging, or biking trails away from the busy roads. We saw wildlife, including lizards and iguanas, but nothing to be nervous about. This part of the Southern coast, Humacao, is a bit off the beaten path of tourism, which we liked, while still offering easy access to all needed shopping just down the road. There are excellent eating places nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming. The property was immaculate when we arrived, and the owner was helpful and solicitous without being intrusive. I cannot recommend this place too highly.

New Year 2024
We had a fabulous time! What we saw online was exactly what the property looked like. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable. The beach was so close and water so warm that we went every day. But, we still took advantage of the in ground pool. The nature preserve was accessible from the beach and awesome for walks with the whole family. The gated community gave us a good sense of safety.

Beach Family Christmas Heaven
We took our grown kids on a Christmas trip to Puerto Rico. This house was a wonderful fit, giving each family their own bedroom. We loved the outside pool area where there were sun options and shade options to sit in. The washer and dryer was wonderful to have available. The beach was literally so close to walk to and I took advantage of walks there every day. This is a gated community close to shopping. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful stay
The house was comfortable and beautiful. the property manager was always available if needed. Although the beach is not for swimming, it was amazing for beach walks. They have a nature reserve a short distance from the house and the lookout view is amazing. I recommend this stay if you are looking for peace and relaxation.

Great stay!
Great location, gated in community. There is a historic landmark bunker hike right along the beach which is right along the Humacao Reserve. Nice short hike. Everything was included like described in listing. Pool and outside hang out was perfect. All that was needed for a kitchen was included. Which was perfect since we were not planning on eating out for all meals. We had glasses, mixer etc to make cocktails as well. We utilized the washer and dryer, just needed detergent was was no biggie! There was 3 couple and we each all had our own bathroom with shower which definitely was a plus!

Great pool & bbq patio, big house. Seaweed beach.
Overall had a fun experience and the owner is 5 stars, easy and no issues, even with a last minute change of dates, great host. The good: House is big enough for 12, great layout for groups, pool is great for kids, house and kitchen is well equipped, nice bbq and patio area, nice cold AC. The hiking path by the beach leads to the next door nature preserve which has great hiking/jogging trails, a cool lookout at El Morrillo fort up on the hill, and cool scenery. Could be better: Shower tile needs repairs or refinished, power outlets were flaky (at least 2 didnt work) and one was partly exposed, light in the main living room was very dim, and the bunk bed was squeaky. Beach chairs were very rusty /worn, backyard lounge chair cushion was a bit moldy. All of these were minor, and all could be ignored by less picky tenants. Also there was no pool table despite one is shown in the listing photos and prior reviews, but wasnt a huge deal for us. The not so good: The beach is 100% piled up with 1ft of dead seaweed and filled the entire beach and water (dont plan to swim or even hang out there, its nasty). This is no fault of the owner, and seaweed is typical of this side of the island, and unfortunately for us on this trip there was excessive seaweed. Overall, if you plan to hang out and swim and BBQ at the pool and hike by the beach and nearby trails, you wont be disappointed, but if swimming or hanging out at the beach is your thing, probably keep looking.

Thank you very much for your review. Sometimes as owners we don’t notice these details because we do not stay in our properties as often as our tenants. The house keepers are supposed to report these issues to us however this was somehow missed. I appreciate you taking the time to inform me of these deficiencies. Most of them have already been replaced. Regarding the bathroom, we are looking into remodeling them as we just did with the windows two month ago. They do not have broken tiles and are in good condition and the toilets are new. The lamp in the family room has dim light because many tenants complained that it had too much light 🤷‍♀️and on a trip I made to Morocco I bought it and brought it for the enjoyment of my tenants. As you mentioned, unfortunately we can’t do anything about the seaweed in the beach. It is a problem that many beaches face this year. Thank you for your feedback. I hope to be able to have you back in the future. Thank you 😊

Loved the place!
We enjoyed our stay at Norma's place. The place was spacious and had more than enough accommodations for 6 adults. The neighborhood was peaceful throughout our stay. The pool was SUPER nice to have, especially since we were going through a heat wave. There were restaurants and a National Reserve very close by that we also enjoyed. We took time to visit a coffee plantation, Hacienda Muñoz, that was about 35 minutes away. It was a very beautiful and interesting place. Both times that I talked to Norma, as a "welcome" as a "goodbye" she was very nice and attentive. Thank you, Norma, for sharing your beach home!

Beautiful property
We went to PR for my son’s graduation/18th birthday and was pleasantly surprised with the property. It accommodated us well with beautiful views. There was even a happy graduate balloon along with a bottle of wine upon our arriving which I thought was so thoughtful! Kids enjoyed the pool and the neighborhood dog with dentures, lol. If you stay here, you will definitely know what I’m talking about. Property is close to shops/restaurant and I liked that it’s in a gated community. I would definitely stay here again!

This property is in a quiet closed gate community that is very quiet and clean. The house had more than we anticipated. God bless Norma who answered her anytime we had a call. The only disappointment was the which was full of seaweed as were all the beaches on the east coast.

Property is set for large group with restaurants, grocery and souvenir shopping just minutes away. Location is perfect to drive to several beaches and attractions within an hour away. Puerto is the enchanted island keep it in mind.

Birthday get away with friends and family
I traveled to PR with a group of 9 to celebrate birthdays and this house accommodated us perfectly. The house was bigger than what the pictures depicted and everything met our expectations. The owner even left a bottle of wine for us which was very thoughtful. The beach was nice although I don’t think it’s good for swimming. However, it’s perfect for morning walks, reading your book or just relaxing. The house is close to great restaurants and Walmart is within 5 minutes. We truly enjoyed our time in the house and in PR.

The location and pool was the best however the place needs serious renovation.
The location and property owner was great, it was a gated community so we felt safe. We loved the pool and the fact that there was a lot of space because we came as a family of 11. However, the place needs a major renovation. The WiFi kept going down and was weak and some of had to work several hours remotely. The bathrooms, the household furniture, the bedding needs updating. The pool furniture was old and dirty and the pool table in the garage was lopsided. The community members need to get together and clean the beach front there was wood and garbage everywhere. We had a great time because it was family but we wouldn’t stay at this location again.

Thank you for your review. We are always attentive to all the details in the property. The furniture is in excellent condition. The appliances are in top shape and the bedding is changed frequently . The patio furniture corrodes because the salt from the sea and the heat from the sun chips them away but we switch them constantly .Our property is a typical Caribbean Cousy beach house. It has air conditioning and all the comforts our guess need to enjoy their stay. As for the beach, you are right to say that it was not clean. Unfortunately Hurricane Fiona, just passed less than a month before your stay so the beach has not settled .As for the internet, as I told you in the message that I sent you, some one from your party drove a van through the internet cables. I then sent the technician right away and he fixed the problem. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay .Thank you and happy holidays.

Clean and nice
The house was clean and nice. They had just about everything you could think of that you could possibly need. The only thing they didn’t have was a cleaner to wipe down counters but we took care of that while we were there. The power went out a couple of times but wasn’t a big deal, we went down to mesons for breakfast and coffee and by the time we got back we had power again. The power went out again later that day just before you very one was about to go to sleep but kicked back on within a couple of minutes. There is a Walgreens and a Walmart right down the road and the cantina and regata restaurants right next door have amazing food. The beach isn’t one you can swim in but there is a pool which made it nice. The kids loved that. There was a crab in the pool on our last morning that we caught and set free but that was the only bit of excitement. There are some turtle nests that can be seen on the beach that are protected. At night you can see the red lights at the end of the road to discourage the turtles from coming up the road. There were a few coqui that could be heard at night which was lovely. When the dryer started to malfunction, Norma had someone there to fix it right away. The ice maker in the fridge is broken but Norma was aware and was trying to get it fixed. When one of the doors got locked by mistake, Norma had someone there to fix it for us right away. She really was a great host. She was great with communication with us. I would stay here again.

Family trip in May
It was a beautiful house equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We have plenty of room for everyone in my family. My family loved the backyard. The pool, tables and chairs were the perfect spot to just relax and hang out. My favorite was the short walk to the beach. Although we were not able to get in due to the seaweed the scenery and ocean breeze were breathtaking. We took numerous walk along the ocean Norma was easy to communicate with and she was very informative with the check in process. The house was located in a gated community. The house was located away from all the “main attractions” in PR, there was plenty to do nearby and it was the perfect get away to just relax from the everyday hustle and bustle. The house was also located near many stores and food kiosks. Our family definitely enjoyed our stay at this location.

Highly Recommend
We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was clean and cool in the 90 degree temps. The beach was great and a very short walk. We drove to San Juan for a day (about an hour away) and also drove 30 minutes to a snorkeling cruise. The pool was a nice relaxing night almost every night. Absolutely Perfect
We travel to the Caribbean frequently and this property was perfect for us. We had a group of 14 but were very comfortable. Teenage boys stayed in living room and each of 4 families stayed in the bedrooms. The property is very welcoming and clean/maintained. This is not your all inclusive property which to us was a great break in the norm. There are local restaurants and kiosks nearby but also your superstores like Walmart, CVS, fast food restaurants and even chili's within 5 mins drive. It is the perfect blend of local stay without fear of forgetting an item or having a picky eater. Norma is always available for any needs or questions. We loved it. Beach has seaweed but not enough to prevent us from enjoying the relaxation of waves crashing in paradise.

Beautiful view from front porch, wonderful pool in backyard, can walk for miles on beach. Good swimming conditions some days, other days too windy/seaweedy, but always beautiful. The home had lots of extras like a grill, spices, sugar, coffee filters, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, plenty of toilet paper. Only cons were pool table too uneven to use, no cooler (we were told previous renters broke it), and could use better beach chairs. But overall, a beautiful home in a quiet beach setting!

Steps from the beach, beautiful home with pool
House is in a small gated community. Some of the houses are renovated and beautiful, and some of them look like they were hit by a hurricane. This house is one of the updated, beautiful homes. The neighborhood is so unique with beautiful ocean views, and it bumps right up to a nature reserve. We came with a group of 6 adults (3 couples). We didn’t use the bunk room or the day bed in the living room. Lots of bed space for larger groups or families! The backyard feels like an oasis. The pool is beautiful and the gazebo is perfect for dinners outside. House is stocked with many items we didn’t think to pack. Kitchen is updated and perfect. No dishwasher, but no big deal. Bathrooms are decent and served their purpose. Large grocery store, Ralph’s only about 9 minutes away, so very easy to get to things you need. Many other stores and restaurants in the area also. We would definitely recommend staying here, and will come back again if we get the chance! Norma is a very accommodating host. Very sweet and easy to communicate with.

Excellent girls trip and birthday trip
My party and I enjoyed the rental. Norma, was always there to address any concerns and she made us feel welcomed. We had brunch on the front porch and grilled in the backyard. It was a lovely place to take our photoshoot by the pool and on the beach. It is such a beautiful place to stay. We will definitely return again.

Great place for our family.
This was a perfect place for our family to spend a week. We have four grandchildren, ages one through seven. The house is modest, but very clean, and had everything we needed. Norma was very attentive, and available by text for any question. The pool was perfect for the children. This is a great location. Walking distance to the beach, and a nature preserve. 30 minute drive from the Ceiba ferry terminal. Five minute drive to Walmart. About an hour drive to El Yunque. 45 minute drive to Luquillo Beach.

Steps to the beach
We came here for the holidays to celebrate with our close friends and had a wonderful time! The neighborhood is quiet and close to the beach. The beach is great, walkable for miles, with lots of boogie board size waves and great views of Monkey Island and Vieques. The pool and backyard area was a great place to hang out after the beach. We managed to cook for 9 with no problems

Easy beach location
We stayed for a week of family time over Christmas 2021. The water was lovely and warm (no seaweed to speak of), nice walks along the beach and in the nearby nature preserve, and a convenient Walmart (about 5 min drive). The house is as advertised--the appliances, A/C, pool etc all work, the kitchen has what you need to cook, etc. Overall, a quiet place to stay that is close to San Juan (about an hour's drive) and an easy walk to the beach.

WOW! Couldn't Have Asked for More!
We had a fabulous stay in Rio Abajo! We did not want to leave! The house easily accommodated two adult couples, two 16 year olds and two 13 year olds. There was plenty of room to spread out but also space for privacy. The kitchen was well stocked and the shared space was very comfortable. When we were home we spent most of our time on the expansive front porch with a view of palm trees and the ocean or lounging around the pool. We had the beach to ourselves most days where we enjoyed snorkeling and finding sand dollars and starfish, swimming, walking on the trail and watching the wildlife. An added bonus was the easy access to the Humacao Nature Preserve from the beach and the extensive trails. Make sure to visit the WWII bunkers, beach and lagoon and be on the lookout for all kinds of lizards big and small! The location of Norma's house gave us easy access to Fajardo for snorkeling trips and the bioluminescent bay as well as Luquillo Beach (all about 30 minutes from the house). There were restaurants walking distance with local fare and the grocery store was a quick drive into town. We highly recommend making the 10 minute drive to El Makito for a late lunch or early dinner and eating on the Veranda. The food was delicious and the view spectacular. Norma was a pleasure to interact with and very responsive. We had very few needs but the ones we did she responded to immediately. We will be visiting again!
