"This was a magical place! We brought my son and 2 friends, all 12 years old. All 3 boys LOVED our stay. Their review “I liked staying on the ranch and feeding the horses.” “It was really pretty being in the valley.” “I want to come back again.” We adults appreciated the cozy house. Leslie started a fire in the wood stove—so relaxing to watch it burn, plus it somehow heated up the whole house. The beds were comfortable and warm (though it was cold out at night!), the kitchen had all the essentials to cook dinner. Also, Leslie can arrange horse riding lessons if you’re interested. She’s lived here lifelong and is a wealth of knowledge about the area and its history, as well as about all things horse. We will be back again. "

"This stay cost about less 90 which should have been the main red flag. The description of this being a charming motel is not true. It is a cheap motel, with dirty sheets, towels, and the night sounds of domestic arguments from 1AM-3AM. You are best off driving the 15 minutes to Ridgecrest and staying in real hotel. In addition to being looking old and run down, I had to go to worse room than I paid for because they lost the guest key to my room. My only option to keep my original room was to have the manager let me in every time I needed to get in; since there was no one present when I arrived, I was not going to do this. The room itself was dirty, smelled like smoke, and had what looked like dirty or stained towels. "
