Comfortable and clean home and an excellent host. Great for groups.
My husband, my 2 adult sons, & my elderly parents stayed there during Christmas for 10 days. On booking, our host kindly contacted me to let me know that the house was located across a bar so it could be noisy during weekend nights. I appreciated the upfront warning. He responded quickly to all my concerns. For young people, the bar across the street was a real plus. Our host provided earplugs, that were useful for the rest of us. Overall, the noise was not too big a problem. The house was very clean and comfortable. Very well stocked with enough dishes and little pleasant surprises like games, candies, and well-stocked coffee options, which we appreciated. The place was great for our group with an ensuite bathroom in every room. My parents, who have some mobility issues, took the room downstairs. The kitchenette with a fridge and sink downstairs was handy. The one recommendation would be to have also a TV in that room, like the others. My sons took the room with the 2 beds, which was fantastic as it's hard for 2 young men to share a bed and they enjoyed the big TV. Hubby and I took the huge master bedroom, with a large bathroom with a nice soaker tub, and 2 walk-in closets. The 2-car garage was great but we had a large van so maneuvering out was hard on busy bar nights. A "No Parking Except for Residents" on the laneway fence would be helpful to prevent bargoers from using it as overflow parking. Walking distance to museums. Great time overall. I would book it again.
