「Absolutely shocking. Arrived at 7.20pm. Check in was between 5-8pm. No sign of anyone. Phoned both phone numbers and messaged via hotel.com - no answer from property. Waited there for an hour. We were extremely tired after leaving the UK at 7am!!! Had to find another hotel at ann extra cost. Eventually arrived around 9pm. Hotel owner phoned me at 10.38pm, waking us up, to ask where we were and apologise! What a joke. A formal complaint has been made to hotel.con who were extremely helpful...

「Characterful hotel with a large comfortable room and secure parking. No restaurant open when we stayed and we felt the room could have been cleaner whilst the bedding had holes in it. That said, the receptionist was exceptionally helpful and polite, well presented and professional; she more than made up for any shortcomings. 」

「The property is a very interesting historic building with beautiful grounds. The breakfast (not included in my room rate) was very good and the owner had helpful suggestions on things to see and do in the area. I enjoyed my stay very much」
