"Very cool little chalet/cabin in La Sage (Evolene). Best for 2 people max. and despite the size, having 2 floors to spread is decent. The outdoor balcony/deck facing the mountain...esp with the great weather makes in a gem. Plenty of hiking right around the village too. Will rent the larger one next time, if available"

"We celebrated a big birthday with a family get together; we were 17 people, all ages and ALL enjoyed their stay. The property was perfect; The rooms were great and very clean. it had everything we needed. Marco (host) went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. "The property exceeded expectations. The chalet has a nice character in a beautiful setting. Kitchen is small but everything works well. It would be a bit of a squeeze if all rooms were filled. I would definitely return if I get the chance!"

"Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"The house was a bit small for a group of 7. I can't imagine 9 people. The WiFi password would not work and it seemed the LAN cable for connecting to the internet was missing. We had to use our mobile data the whole stay. Other than that, it was fine and did the trick to house our group for 2 nights."

"This was our second trip to this property and it was still great. Situated on the mountainside , in a small quiet cluster of properties, its only 5-10 minute drive to 2 gondolas accessing the ski slopes. The skiing was great. The property is very clean and comfortable. We hired both the house and apartment below, which has an indoor adjoining staircase. The children loved the bedrooms in the eaves. We mostly self catered and had everything that we needed. Loved lighting a fire for the soapstone...

"Unbelievable little town ❤️ nestled in the most enchanted valley! Lots to do or just relax and enjoy the view. Juliet was very attentive and responded to my communication promptly (even shipped a new toaster when she found out ours wasn’t working).
