The entire hotel feels worn and in need of an update. The area along the canal is nice enough and I felt safe at night, just wish I had chosen a better hotel.

Only stayed 1 night and wouldn’t care to stay longer. Room is small and had an odour. Very basic hotel stay not worth the price; stayed in much nicer hotels in Japan for far less money. Upside is it’s located a few minutes walk to train station and 10 minute walk to Kurashiki Old Quarter.

Place was clean and appreciated having 3 beds instead of one bed and one futon.
Was near the station and easily walkable to local eateries. Check in was smooth and would recommend for others to stay here.

Staying at this hotel made riding the train easy, and there were many options nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room was clean and I had all I needed.
I thought that the design of the bathroom faucet was strange. I couldn't leave it on, except at full strength. I found that inconvenient.

Both breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Public bath with hot spring water was available too. Good deal. A convenient store is nearby. They kept our luggage before checking in but they didn’t secure - no locks, number tags, or anything. Somebody could take it, though it wasn’t a busy ...
