I was initially booked into a pet friendly accommodation however we had a last minute change which did not allow pets. I had to find somewhere for my small dog. The fire alarm battery needed replacement and I notified the company responsible for looking after the property but they didn't replace it which meant I had to remove the battery and the smoke alarm was disabled for our entire 7 night stay. We had a bath and when we pulled the plug for the water to drain the bathroom flooded dirty smelly water came up through the shower drain and we spent hours trying to mop it all up. We used the towels. Only certain beds were made and there was no access to linen.The downstairs TV had volume but no picture except on the ABC channels.I called a number listed on the wall which was a hotel at Surfers paradise and they had no knowledge about the accommodation. I reported things and asked for a call back from the property manager but no one has contacted.
