"The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was very good, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice. The bathroom in the room, while beautiful, was not functional. The half door of the shower allowed water to get all over the floor. The sink was so small and the mirror stuck out so far over the sink that I could barely wash my hands let alone my face without getting water everywhere. Other than the bathroom, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy and everything was well cared for."

"This hotel in Ålesund knows exactly how to impress. The views are the kind that make you stop mid‑sentence, the beds are so comfy you start negotiating with yourself about getting up, and the shower? A full spa moment for a traveler that didn’t bring the essentials, great water pressure, plus actual shampoo, conditioner, and lotion!!! The only heartbreak? Breakfast starts at 8am on Sundays, and our fjord cruise left at 8. So yes, we missed what I’m sure was a glorious spread, and yes, I’m docking them a tiny point for Sunday morning timing. Let the early birds live! Still, between the comfort, the views, and the little luxuries, it’s easily one of Ålesund’s best stays. I was sad we only got to spend one night!"

"The location is convenient for a hike to see puffins. The room is spacious and our room faces the ocean! The staff is friendly. But the breakfast serves kind of late, at 8:00 am. Besides, there is no hairdryer in the room."
