PhileDomus offers a range of 7 elegant studios and one-bedroom apartments, each located on the second floor of a modern building in the heart of Heraklion. Perfectly suited for couples, solo travelers, families, or small groups, the units accommodate up to 4 guests, except for one cozy studio (No 25) that comfortably sleeps 3 guests max. Each apartment features a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a double sofa bed, and a private bathroom complete with shower essentials, body soap, shampoo, towels, and a hair dryer.
All units are equipped with a fully functional kitchen, including stovetops, oven, refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, cookware, and dining utensils, ideal for guests who prefer home-cooked meals. A dining table, TV, and high-speed wireless internet ensure a comfortable stay whether you're working remotely or relaxing after exploring. Additional amenities include air conditioning, bed linens, an iron, and access to a washer. Every apartment has a private entrance, ensuring your personal space is respected.
Located just steps from Heraklion’s top attractions—such as Lions Square, the Venetian Loggia, and the Archaeological Museum—PhileDomus gives you immediate access to local culture, dining, shopping, and transport links. Located in the lively center of Heraklion, Crete’s vibrant capital, this area is ideal for travelers who want to experience the authentic rhythm of the city while enjoying easy access to its most significant cultural and historical landmarks. Just steps away, you’ll find the iconic Morosini Fountain (Lions Square), the Venetian Loggia, and the Church of Agios Titos, each reflecting Heraklion’s layered past from the Venetian to the Ottoman periods. A short walk brings you to the world-renowned Heraklion Archaeological Museum, home to the most important collection of Minoan artifacts. The surrounding streets are filled with local shops, tavernas, bakeries, cafés, and small markets where you can experience daily Cretan life. The area is well served by public buses, offering regular connections to the Palace of Knossos, coastal areas, and other parts of the city. We would like to inform you about an important regulation mandated by the Greek government. From April to October, all guests are required by law to pay an Environmental Fee. This fee cannot be included in the booking price and must be collected separately before arrival, as stipulated by the Greek authorities.
The fee is:
€8 per night for apartments
€15 per night for villas
Please note:
This amount is not a charge from us, and we do not profit from it in any way.
Once we collect this fee, we pay it in full directly to the government as a tax.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to waive, reduce, or absorb this fee, no matter the circumstances.
Payment is required before check-in, as per Greek law.
We completely understand this might be frustrating, and we sincerely wish we could make it easier for you. However, we are legally obligated to comply, and without this payment, check-in is not permitted.
