5/5 - Excellent
Note that the first part of the hike to Hengifoss is quite an incline, but it does level out a bit. You can get several nice views of Hengifoss (and the other falls in the area) from the trail and viewing points. But if you want to get up close, you're going to have to do a little more involved hiking over wet, slippery rocks. So just make sure you use your best judgment and don't get yourself in over your head! Getting up close and personal with this waterfall isn't worth an injury, especially since you can actually see it (in the distance) from the parking area... But if you are up for the hike, it's worth every step.
