Beautiful Hidden Gem
We had a wonderful stay at this whimsical little getaway! It was very cute and well stocked. Our kids really loved the little rock slide in the creek, the hot tub, and the place had great toys and books out for our use. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are less than 15 minutes away! Our only complaint was it wasn’t quite as clean as we’d hoped. There was evidence that the shams in the master were not cleaned before our arrival and some of the kitchen items were a little dirty (there is no dishwasher so I assume we were relying on the pervious tenants dishwashing skills). Though I’m sure these are mostly cleaning crew issues. The owners clearly love this place and so did we!

Beautiful and secluded
Quiet and beautiful, perfect place to stay for our honeymoon!! Host was the most responsive we’ve ever had! Only complaint is we had to wash our dishes which wasn’t a big deal except that we had to rely on the previous tenants to do a good job washing theirs and ended up having to wash some poorly washed mugs and silverware. Other than that I cannot recommend the host and locations enough!!

Mountain Paradise!
My husband and I had such a magnifcent stay at Hollee's property! The property was impeccable and was the getaway we so much needed. The location was perfect (close enough to the small towns, hiking trails, etc., yet far enough to make feel you are escaping the hustle and bustle of life). Waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and the babbling brook was so serene. Truly a mountain paradise where you can simply escape. Hollee thought of everything in making this the perfect stay, and she was a wonderful and responsive host. Look so forward to being able to return and would highly recommend this property. Thanks so much, Hollee, for a perfect getaway!

Relaxing getaway
My wife and I actually won an overnight stay and to say we were impressed is an understatement. The cabin was cozy, and the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking at Chimney Rock. We cant wait to book our next trip as paying customers

Peaceful Retreat
Loved the property. There is a very nice and well kept outdoor area with a small grill, firepit, hot tub, and picnic table. We ate outside every evening and relaxed in the hot tub. I loved the small touches by the host with good quality paper towels, small areas for toiletries. The lighting outside was also a nice touch. The bedding was very comfortable as well.

Momma’s getaway!
This is our 2nd time staying at this property. The first time was an adventure and reconnecting with each other! This time it was all about DOING NOTHING!! It was marvelous. My partner and I are both busy working momma's, there is nothing like mid day uninterrupted naps, day drinking, Netflix binging, snack foods, cuddled up in the precious cabin! I 100% will stay here again in the summer to have a family trip with the kiddos to the lake! Hollee is so amazing and will answer any off the wall question to make your stay so much easier!! We are looking forward to our summer trip in a few month!! Thank you for sharing the amazing home with us!!

Cute, cozy cabin!
The cabin was perfect for our family! We loved the layout of the house itself, as we were all able to stay on the main floor. The kids' room was packed with toys, way more entertaining than the toys we brought from home. We felt like it was cozy, but everyone had plenty of space. It was about 30 min to Asheville and 12 minutes to Chimney Rock. We didn't even scratch the surface on everything there is to do right around there. We used Instacart to have our groceries delivered, but there are a couple of cute restaurants in Chimney Rock (check day of the week for whether or not they are open). We are looking forward to returning in the future!

The Van Gogh Home
I absolutely LOVED this property. The care & detail put into decorating each space made the home feel welcoming and relaxing. It feels like a home away from home. Peaceful and serene. The beautiful sunflowers throughout the property reminded me of one of my favorite artist, Van Gogh, so my kids and I renamed this lovely home, The Peaceful Van Gogh Retreat! We're looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Mountain Escape
This is a comfortable and cozy mountain house that is perfect for a relaxing vacation or weekend getaway. The surrounding mountains, rivers, and creeks give this place a remote and natural atmosphere. One of the highlights of our trip was a breathtaking view of Hickory Nut Gorge from Chimney Rock. We also enjoyed a challenging hike at Wildcat Rock Reserve. Altogether, a relaxing and beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Hollee was quick to respond to any questions and an overall amazing property manager. 10/10.

Great cabin
We had a great stay at this cabin! Excellent location, super convenient to Chimney Rock & Asheville. Kitchen was furnished very well with everything we needed. Comfy memory foam mattress in master. Owner was very detailed with information for check in/out and really made us feel welcomed! Loved the outdoor space, hot tub, fire pit and waterfall. Our dog enjoyed exploring the outdoor space and waterfall also! Note if you bring your dog there is no real grassy area/yard, so we took her down across the street by the river mostly to take care of business. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there!!

Nice getaway
Wife and I needed to just get out of the house for a few days with work keeping us busy and tired, among the long work weeks we also have a 18 month and 4 month old. This place was perfect for us to just go, sit and relax and breathe some fresh air and have quiet. Our toddler loved the room, toys, and running around the Picnic area, and mom/little girl loved the porch swing. Would recommend this place to anyone, and the only suggestion I have is to add a gate at the top outside, my toddler thought the rocks were slides and wanted to go down and hes quick! But the sounds of the stream, birds, and cool fall breeze made this trip worth it and we'll definitely be back in the future.

Cozy Mountain Cabin
Very clean, cute, comfortable spot. Loved the atmosphere and location. The host thought of every little detail. I appreciated the kids room with toys, high chair and crib available. Pet friendly if you bring a pet. Loved it!

This is such a wonderful place. All the amenities are perfect. My kids loved all the toys, and the outdoor spaces are perfect. My family stayed at the cabin for a long weekend. We loved the details in this property! So fun and whimsical! The property was clean and comfortable, kitchen was well equipped for making meals. Beds were very comfortable! We loved the outdoor space and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. I found the property to be perfectly located to area attractions but it was so nice to have privacy and be away from crowds at the end of the day. We would definitely come back!

Humphrys Hideaway Heaven
We had the best stay at Humphreys Hideaway with my husband, 3 yo and our two dogs: the space is really perfect. Easy to get to and find on gps and off of paved roads. The cutest decor and gnome homes— my toddler loved the kids room with all the toys and bunk beds!! It’s also close to chimney rock and lake lure and only 30 min from Asheville and Hendersonville… if you chose to leave the house and yard. There are so many awesome trails nearby, beautiful views from the porch. Really— we cannot wait to come back. It was perfect for our family!

My boyfriend, dog, and I had such a nice cozy stay in this cabin! The kitchen was well stocked to cook breakfasts and dinners. The cabin is in a great location so you feel like you’re part of nature but you’re not too far from so many fun activities. We wouldn’t recommend getting here at night, but were thankful for lights on the stairs!

Beautiful Property
We had a great time staying here! The outdoor amenities were great! We enjoyed a fire every evening! We played games out on the deck and sat outside each morning listening to the creek with running water which was so relaxing. We visited Asheville, Lake Lure, and Triple Falls while we were there, all very easy to get to. I loved the small town of Fairview that was just down the mountain. The brewery they had there was very cool and dog friendly! The house was clean and had plenty of kitchen items to make anything you want. The stairs werent too bad, but definitely pack light if you can! We had 4 adults and a dog, and we all enjoyed our stay!!

Nice house on the hill. Trips up and down to the house can be a bit strenuous, especially for older folks and people with asthma. No driveway, you literally have to carry everything up and down. That said, it’s still a nice house and we enjoyed our visit.

Comfy cabin tucked in the woods
We had a great time staying in this comfortable and well stocked cabin. The kids enjoyed the toy closet, the hot tub and most of all the creek! We had a great time relaxing in the woods and appreciated the thoughtful landscaping as well. The main bedroom mattress was high quality and very comfortable. The cabin had almost everything you need including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even new toothbrushes! The kitchen had plenty of dish detergent, garbage bags and paper towels. However there isn't a dishwasher. One drawback, was I thought we would have access to the river across the street. Which we did not. Thankfully the creek was plenty of entertainment for my young nature explorers. Also, bring beach towels for the hot tub! Would definitely stay again!

Full of character in beautiful setting
Enjoyed waking up and looking out of the window to a lush forest all around us. This was a beautiful place with a lot of interesting places nearby. Perfect way to see the countryside. House has everything you need and was very comfortable.

Perfect Family Getaway
We came to Bat Cave for the first part of our road trip to North Carolina. The house was everything described and more. After a day of hiking and exploring my family enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, playing games under the closed pergola, and making home cooked meals in a full stocked kitchen. My kids especially enjoyed the kids room with well stock toys and dress up clothes. They even enjoyed climbing up the waterfall stream at the side of the house as there were ropes provided to help with stability. Our GSD even enjoyed his stay running and up and down the stairs and laying out on the patios. We did have a power outage for a few hours, but Hollee was great communicating with us and keeping us informed of when it was to return. The house is in a perfect location as we were able to explore numerous areas during our 4 day trip. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us! We look forward to returning.

Thoughtful space & restful place
Hollee has thought of every little detail! My family (ranging from 10 month old baby to 17 year old teenager) felt comfortable and accommodated at every turn. There were places to congregate together and places to tuck away and read a book. There were plenty of off-the-beaten-path adventures to share that were inclusive and engaging within just a 15 -20 minute drive for off-site fun. Humphrey’s Hideaway was not just a treasure but a trove!

Charming and Unique
You can tell the put a lot of care into this property. I loved all the unique custom decor here. There isn’t a decoration that doesn’t serve a function or tell or story (or both). It has anything and everything you could possible need. The setting on the side of the waterfall is awesome. Also keeps it cooler (we were there in late July). Love that it’s close enough to Lake Lure, Asheville and other places.

Our family of 4, including a 5 year old and a 7 year old, had an absolute blast at the property. Everything was spectacular: location, amenities, cleanliness, comfort, etc. We had planned to spend more time in Asheville, but had so much in Chimney Rock that we hppe to return for a longer period to fully explore the region. This was an amazing spot - don’t hesitate to book it!!!

Unique and beautiful property nestled in the trees
We have rented well over 20 vacation properties over the years and were looking for something different and Humphrey’s Hideaway fit the bill. The house and property are very unique and while there is one house next door and another down the road it feels very secluded and private. The hot tube and outdoor seating areas were very nice after a long day of hiking. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and it was nice to have TVs in every bedroom and in the living room in the event there was bad weather, which thankfully we didn’t have. We got one short thunderstorm in the late afternoon which we enjoyed from the covered deck off the kitchen. Per the description and photos there are a lot of stairs up to the house, which we didn’t mind at all. It was cool to read the photo book in the house with the history of the home. The little stream/waterfall running alongside the yard was cool and our kids swam in the river across the street from the house a couple of time to cool off and then enjoyed the hot tub at night as the temps were mild in the evening. Chimney Rock state park is a 20min drive, everything takes a bit longer when your on mountain roads, and the little town there has a lot of shops and restaurants and plenty of places to park and swim or play in the river. About an hour and 20mins drive to Blue Ridge Parkway trails, longer to get to trails past Craggy Gardens but worth the drive. 35mins to Biltmore and about 40 to downtown Asheville. Many hiking trails nearby.

The family loved our stay in Hollee's Hideaway! My favorite spot for morning coffee/evening drinks was the side covered porch. We spent time in Asheville, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Saluda and Hendersonville - all within a reasonable drive. Went kayaking, zip lining, hiking and wading in the creek. A wonderful family mountain retreat. Highly recommend!!

We have stayed here in the past and it’s still amazing. Everything is nice and clean and comfortable beds. Nothing better than sitting on either porch and listening to the water running from the river and stream. We definitely plan on coming back!

Lovely gem of a cabin
We’re 3 college friends who wanted a fun and cozy place to catch up and we thought this was a wonderful place to stay. It is well-located near local attractions while at the same time is private and well-equipped. Hollee is responsive, warm, and very helpful.
