"The reason I gave one star to "helpful staff" was because the Sunday night we were there a CO2 alarm went off in a neighboring room. I spoke with the young mom that was extremely upset and disturbed - as was I - at the response of the staff working that night. The staff told the mom she'd take care of it in the morning, Wrong answer!! If there was a problem and thankfully there was not - the family would be dead in the morning. Then she said she couldn't call the supervisor or person in charge above her because they were asleep. Appalling. It was quite obvious that the staff person was not trained at all in what to do in case of this type of emergency. That is inexcusable. We take out fire insurance in case of a fire. We hope not but are responsible. This situation is a negative reflection on the management of the Spray Beach Hotel. After many years (over 35) of staying there I was very disappointed. Please train you staff with the proper response to emergency issues. Have a book of How to respond to each different type of emergency. You need to take a thoughtful look at each situation"

"Great place! Just what we needed for our family. Location is a plus, close to the beach, nice easy walk. Short drive to shops and restaurants, very walkable if you re so inclined. Nice clean accommodations. Owner is very helpful and responds quickly to any questions we had. Also, being pet friendly is huge for us. Hope to be repeat guests. Thanks to our wonderful hosts."

"Marty was a great host!! Very responsive to all our questions. House was really great. Nice clean rooms. Kids loved the upstairs bonus room area to watch movies and play games. Hot tub was clean and warm. Kitchen fully stocked w everything we needed. Really great experience. Will be back again next time! Thanks Marty!"

"Everything about the house was as advertised, and then some. Clean rooms, and plenty of them, spacious living area, great kitchen, along with three spacious decks if you feel like hiding from the sun a bit. Quiet. Wonderfully quiet. Bay side is the way side. Close to everything. If you want to walk, fine. Acme and Fantasy Island are not a long drive if that’s what you want.Great house, great value, and Patty is a great host."
