Bright newly renovated and air conditioned self contained suite in our oceanfront home, situated on a quiet cove on renowned Margaret's Bay . It's in a park like setting that people actually drive to for relaxing walks with or without pets . It has your own private resort like deck with a shared 6 person hot tub , covered gazebo. Bring your kayaks or use ours (we never do !) Enjoy a cozy campfire in the outside fireplace ( except during fire ban) with that special someone . Queen suite with a pull out couch for extra guests . Well behaved pets with well trained owers are welcome as we have a very friendly Golden Doodle .Cable TV and wifi on site to keep track of the outside world ....if you want to . ( note ,just purchased a new matress! )

Quiet and clean. Great views and well maintained. Rug in living room is curling up and should be replaced as it can be a tripping hazard.

We travelled to the area to visit nearby family and friends for about 10 days. It was our first time staying in a VRBO home and we were beyond delighted to find ourselves in such a gorgeous spot. Our hosts were so welcoming and kind; we felt right at home. The suite is spacious, clean and quite private, overlooking a calm waterway that’s part of St. Margaret’s Bay. It’s a really special location with the best kind of hosts.It was easy to relax and enjoy sun on the deck or a little paddle in the kayak. Fun for birdwatching, too. The kitchenette was perfect for us - we made simple meals and made use of the barbecue a few times. (There’s also a good takeout place a couple of minute’s drive) The bed was very comfortable and we found it to be quiet at night. Thanks to their warm hospitality, we’ll treasure the memories of our stay at the Blue Heron Hideaway.

Nous avons eu un beau séjour. Tout est propre. Les hôtes sont acceuillants et disponibles. Il y a eu un petit problème d'eau mais nous n'avons eu aucun soucil car ils nous ont fourni rapidement de l'eau pour répondre au problème. Je recommande bien cet endroit!

Great Host & Stunning View – A Lovely Stay

Our host Chris was nothing short of amazing—friendly, accommodating, and truly kind. The unit is in the lower part of a house, easy to access, and spacious enough for my spouse and our little dog. The view is absolutely beautiful! While we could occasionally hear the homeowners upstairs and some traffic across the bay, it wasn’t a big issue for us, especially since Chris gave us a heads-up when they were expecting guests. We used the place as our home base while exploring Nova Scotia. The only downside was the BBQ—it wasn’t very clean, so we chose not to use it. Still, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, centrally located spot with a great view. Just keep in mind, it may not be the best fit if total peace and quiet is your priority.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It met or exceeded our expectations . It was clean and had all the comforts. The view from the deck is wonderful and the hot tub is a bonus.As far as location its close to amenities and prime sightseeing locations.Would definately stay again.

Peaceful gateway

We had an amazing time in this beautiful and peaceful place located right by the ocean. The apartment is very well equipped with wonderful outdoor area, comfortable sitting, fire pit, jacuzzi and hammock. Very nice host and their sweet dog. We highly recommend it.

Beautiful views of St. Margaret's Bay, with private outdoor terrace, in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. The apartment was well-furnished and equipped for two people, convenient to nearby stores, coffee shops and seaside attractions. Helpful live-in hosts and clear directions made the stay easy.

well located for south shore stay

This rental provides a private, well located place for a short term visit. Access to the unit is by stairs to the back of the main house located on a hill with a lovely water view. The kitchen facilities are somewhat limited but adequate, especially for those out sightseeing most of the time. Aside from noise from those living upstairs over the unit, it is a very comfortable place to stay.

The view and location was nice but the beds sucked and the noise from the landlords above the unit at night made it hard to sleep. Knowing now that it’s not separate from the landlords would not rent again. Hide a bed where my son sleep r all spring it’s very uncomfortable shower wont drain properly it’s clog both mattress from hide a bed and bed it self need to be replaced

Head of St Margarets bay vacation

The property is beautiful and in an amazing location! Relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the ocean after a long day on the go was perfect. The house is very nicely done and very clean. The property owners were very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay there again on a future trip.

Chris has a beautiful place just outside of Tantallon! Both the sofa bed and bedroom could use new mattress as well as blinds for the living room windows but other than that our stay was fantastic. The view of the bay was spectacular, it was nice to soak in the hot tub each night.

Modern and nicely decorated suite with lovely deck, bbq, hammock and hot tub. Overlooking a dock in a quiet cove. Missed having laundry facilities. Really pleased with our stay.

Great location and water views

Convenient location 25 minutes from Peggy’s Cove and 7 minutes from shopping and an express bus to Halifax. Access to the unit is a little tricky with a steep driveway and an outdoor staircase. Excellent water views. The unit was reasonably well- stocked but could use better ventilation and window curtains.

We had a great stay at Chris and Stephanie’s VRBO on the water. The one bedroom suite had everything that we were looking for. It was clean, modern and private. We really enjoyed our week, so peaceful and relaxing. View is amazing and especially liked the covered seating area on the deck, great for sitting out anytime of the day.
