"We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. "My husband and I visited on 8/28-9/2/2024. Pete and family were so welcoming and kind. They were up for the Labor Day weekend next door.The home has 3 bedrooms top floor, (King, double and bunk room w/ 2 double bottom bunk beds w/single top beds), 1 bath (with bathtub, shower, double sinks), living room w/ large smart tv, (this is the1 steaming tv in home), full kitchen, table for 4, washer/dryer on main floor. "Such a beautiful beach. The room was pretty rustic but we didn’t go there to stay in the room. We walked the dogs on the beach and they swam in the water. It’s a family friendly place. Babies and dogs there. Just such a nice place. I highly recommend a stay here!"

"We had a great visit - I think this unit is probably the best in the complex of cabins. You can sit on your own private porch at the large table and look out at the sunrise and lake in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the unit was very clean. We loved the old school charm and layout, but the cabin has nice updated features inside. "We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to...
