This place is the perfect location for the German Quarter and the Bahai Gardens. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and our hosts were wonderful, they even offered us a ride up to the gardens which is significant walk up hill.

Wonderful experience!
My family and I really enjoyed our 9-day stay at the Santa Maria. As Baha’i Pilgrims, we could not have been at a better location (see attached photo from our balcony). Our hosts were very accommodating and responsive to our needs. Restaurants, grocery stores, and a good health clinic are close by. In sum, we highly recommend the Santa Maria.

Maria was extremely helpful when we first arrived and even had our room ready early which was much appreciated after a 24hr travel day. The room was clean. The guest house was very easy to locate.

The owners are very nice and let us have a bigger without additional charge. But the streets outside the windows are just noisy with lots of traffic. I’m a bit sorry to say that since the location is very nice.

The property is overpriced considering there is no breakfast and the fact that the accommodation is basic. The owners did provide numerous short car rides and even some laundry. These services were an excellent surprise. The building itself is old, but also histric (Geman Templar). It is at the base of the beautiful Bahai gardens with stunning views from the front of the property.

Great location, right next to lots of restaurants and just below Baha’i shrine. Has what you need to be comfortable. But they say parking included in their description. What they mean is good luck finding a parking spot on the street. Some times are harder than others. Since we chose this place in large part because we had a car and needed to park it, we really felt misled.

Great location in the German Colony! Guest house is right at the bottom of the Baha’i Gardens. Very clean and run by very kind people.

Comfortable flat in prime location
The location of the Guest House is in one of the most beautiful spots in Haifa, immediately below the Bahai Gardens. We stayed in the large apartment, which was a very comfortable base for our Haifa holiday.

All in all good, but there were some issues
The hosts were very nice and the room was mostly good and pleasant. The location is great, we switched dates before our visit and they were extremely kind about it, but there were a couple of glitches: The air conditioner wouldn't shift and so was blowing on our heads at night, a problem that the host tried to fix but couldn't. The toilet seat was a bit off, the bathroom door had a loose knob. And the description wasn't very accurate. We thought we're getting a room with a bed and an open sofa, and the open sofa turned out to be two separate beds, which is fine, but not what we prepared for. There were a lot of stairs in the middle of the penthouse, one here, a couple there, and the kids fell at least three or four times. Other than that at night we had some noise from the street.

Excellent location, excellent room and excellent hosts. The owner was generous, she showed us multiple room options to make sure we will be comfortable and enjoy the room. The place is clean and new-renovated, sitting very near to the Baha’i garden entrance, the heart of Haifa. Exceeded our expectations, highly recommended and will definitely go there again! Thank you for everything!

We loved our stay here. The room was very cozy, with a nice kitchenette and bathroom. The location is very central and convenient. Maria really takes care of her guests and is a wonderful host. I wish we could stay longer! Highly recomend!

Great place in the core of everything!
Our stay was awesome! Ricardo met us outside and assisted with our luggage and getting us a parking spot. Maria and Ricardo are very friendly and hospitable, made sure that we had everything that we needed in the room and even brought us coffee and cookies. Free parking is on the street and great location right in front of Baha’i Gardens. It’s a little loud because your right off the Main Street and literally steps from the door of the gardens. From inside the room, it’s quiet though. If you want to stay this close to everything in that area, then of course you must be ok with some noise/traffic. Overall, really nice place with an almost “villa” feel. Maria and Ricardo are really great hosts.

Great small family run hotel in wonderful location
We love this place. We’ve stayed before and will be back. Run by a very nice family, and excellent location and accommodations. Only negative is nearby road noise, but not overwhelming.

Baha'i Gardens location
The location was superb, on Ben Gurien at the bottom of the Baha'i Gardens. The hosts were fantastic, they took us to the top of the Gardens and also drove us to the bus station so we didn't have to take a taxi. The place was super clean and comfortable. Would stay here and recommend this to all my friends.

Ok, basement apartment.
Ok, basement apartment, a little humid down there, laptop's keyboard keypress altered now. Haifa is extremely polluted.

Great location but outdated
The room was actually an apartment which was huge! The place was clean but outdated. Bathroom was too tiny and when you showered the toilet area was soaked. The location was fantastic. The add said 24 hour desk service which is untrue. Owner lives in the home attached but was gone most of the time and her family spoke limited English. They tried to be very accommodating but language was a problem.

Good location, but not perfect
This is definitely a guest house - not a hotel. There are no services, no front desk - it's a private suite attached to a residence. The location can't be beat although it's on a busy street with an active nighttime crowd - we could barely sleep. Bring ear plugs. The kitchen also wasn't stocked well - no towels for drying and no napkins. The unit was a nice size and the owner was very nice. Just set your expectations and you'll have a decent stay.

Nice micro hotel
The hotel sits right across of the entrance of "The Bahá’í Gardens". To reach the railroad station you need walk for about 15 minutes (or take a taxi for 40NIS), 10 minutes to the shopping center, 5 min or even less to the bus stop. In the kitchen - a kettle, microwave oven, small electric stove and utensils. Don't forget to switch the water heater ON and OFF (I think you'll see a switch in every house in Israel).

Deceptive Advertising & a Disastrous Stay
The "suite" was not as described. It listed 2 bedrooms w/living & dining rooms. We chose it thinking we would have more privacy. There was only 1 bedroom (not 2) and a living area with no dining table in the place. (There was a patio table OUTSIDE ?) There was also no dishwasher in the "suite" and the personal toiletries consisted of hand soap and shampoo. When we asked for bath soap we were informed they did not have any. We asked for the owner to help us with the heater remote setting and she said she did not know how. The light fused in the bathroom at one point and the guy had to come and tinker with the fuse box and the light for a while. The bathroom toilet was literally next to the shower in a ~3 foot by 3 foot space; water from the shower sprayed all over the toilet seat. The room was also loud late at night with the owner's kids jumping and running + noises from the street. We also thought we could do laundry after a week of traveling without a washer/dryer only to find out that the woman did not have a dryer and also gave us a bit of attitude when we asked to use the washer saying that we were only staying for one night. She eventually washed our clothes but we ended up having to travel with damp clothes the next day since they did not have a dryer.

Все хорошо, отзывчивая хозяйка. По утрам угощала кофе, предложила постирать вещи. На кухне достаточно разных принадлежностей. На всякий случай, если кто не понял, то комнаты на цокольном этаже. Нас это не напрягало. Всего 2 номера. Входы каждый отдельно со двора. Дворик уютный.

Awesome jewel in Haifa Israel
I never bother to write reviews, but this stay was awesome. It is really not a hotel, but more like a 3 room B&B that does not happen to come with breakfast. The rooms are downstairs below a main home off of a separate courtyard in an awesome location in Haifa in Israel. The owners are very nice, and very accomodating, even making us coffee and a few snacks at check-in. This place is immediately downhill from the B'Hai shrine and gardens and at the uphill side of the wonderful German Colony, with all of its shops and restaurants. Only minor downside is tha because of the awesome location, it is at a busy intersection. While perfect for walking anywhere, it can be a bit noisy. This was easily fixed by closing the windows and turning on the fan of the air conditioner, which did a good job of overcoming the road noise. Also, the road noise dissapated quite dramatically at night. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Our room had a duble bed and 2 twin beds, perfect for a family of four, with a kitchenette and private bath.

הגענו לחיפה כדי לבלות בפסטיבל הסרטים. קבלת הפנים בבית ההארחה היתה נעימה מאד. חיכו לנו עם קפה מעולה וצלחת ענבים מתוקים. קבלנו ייעוץ היכן לאכול ארוחת בוקר משובחת וכן הנחה. השירותים נקיים ונוחים, המטבח מצוייד בכל האביזרים, יש קפה , תה וחלב במקרר. הדבר היחיד שמפריע הוא שאין חלון בחדר.

A real gem at the foot of the Bahai Gardens
What a wonderful apartment. The kitchen was clean and new, the bathroom was new, spacious and ab fab! The bed was really comfortable. The owners were very welcoming, provided us with turkish coffee and watermelon and biscuits at the patio table when we arrived, which was just divine as it had been such a hot and humid day. The location is terrific! The road is lined with restaurants all the way down to the port road. And I don't want to spoil your view in the other direction! but Wow!! and you must see it at night and in the day! We wished we could stay longer than only 1 night.
