The location of the property is within walking distance to many of Munich's cultural attractions which was a plus. However, the property is quite dated and the room I was assigned had shag carpeting. The shower was also quite small and not sure how a large person would be able to access it in such a small space.

Platzl Hotel was a good choice for our party of four on holiday. One of its greatest assets is its location. The property needs a refresh, and amenities like electrical outlets at bedside need to be installed. The multi-lingual staff were friendly without fawning. The little bar and cafe at the front of the building has a very limited menu. The associated high-end restaurant was excellent.

We loved everything about this hotel and thought it was a great deal. Location next to the train station was convenient, breakfast and dinner at the hotel were delicious. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The bed was more comfortable than my bed at home.
