A nice stay in a basic hotel

The staff at the hotel were nice and helpful, giving us good advice on where was best to take our 3 year old. The buffet style food was ok, a little limited for choice though. The hotel was easily accessible from the main road and close enough to the ski slopes without being right in the centre of it all. The room itself was small and very basic, not what we were really expecting from the pictures on the website. It was fine for 1 or 2 nights but I wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

Ok hotel but thin walls, so noisy.

Easy to find, plenty of parking, nice check-in, clean room & bathroom but very noisy, hearing all the noise from other guests in the hotel areas as well as their rooms. Good breakfast choice. No-one on reception when leaving at 8.30 and it wasn't clear what to do with the key, so I had to leave it on the desk.

No tenian agua caliente, no se tomaron la molestia de notificarlo, sino hasta que se ponia la queja en recepcion. Las fotos del hotel por la web no son nada parecidas a la realidad del hotel.

Llevo muchísimos años quedandome en este hotel y en vez de ir a mejor va para atrás. Lo único que han remodelado el mobiliario del buffet ampliando un poco, muy poco, la oferta. Si queréis cenar paella ahí tenéis la novedad. La cena es de 20:00 a 22:30 cuando bajas a las 20:30 la mitad de las bandejas vacías, la reposición muy lenta. Y a las 21 un día ya habían cosas agotadas y que no reponían. Además que la calidad de lo que ponen deja mucho que desear. En el desayuno ha mejorado el café pero el zumo sigue siendo sirope de polvos. La calefaccion el primer día te asabas de calor y el último té helabas. La presión de agua en la ducha casi nula, si lo ponías hacia arriba no salía agua para hacerse una idea. Toallas con rotos del desgaste. En el bar tienes que estar avisando a recepción porque el camarero es el mismo que en el restaurante y va de un sitio a otro. En general mi opinión es que se le está cayendo una estrella y que deberían ponerse las pilas. Porque si los precios no bajan no debería bajar la calidad

Muy buenas vistas desde habitación pero creo que deberían reformar un poco las habitaciones debido a que algunas entra humedad y agua. Por lo demás muy amable y desayuno muy bueno.

El entorno es muy bonito, llegue a las 22:30 y la atención fue correcta. El camino estaba despejado de nieve. La calefacción estaba funcionando y a temperatura correcta. Para mi la única pega es que la cama era muy incomoda por que se hundía por el centro. Pero lo recomiendo y repetiré

För den ekonomiske

Dom flesta hotellen i Sierra Nevada är i slitet skick och Santa Cruz var absolut inget undantag. Eftersom hotellet inte ligger i själva skidorten utan drygt 6 km innan (fågelvägen) så är priset betydligt lägre vilket gör det till ett alternativ för den ekonomiske skidåkaren men inte för den som vill bo alldeles intill skidbackarna. Det erbjuds transfer till (09.00) och från (17.00) skidliften.

Hotel económico en un entorno inigualable

Es justo lo que buscaba en ese momento. Entrada al hotel a las 22:30 debido al viaje., lo bueno es que la recepción es 24 horas. Ha pesar de haber nevado recientemente el acceso estaba libre de nieve. Lo único que me pareció algo incómodo fue la cama que hundía en el centro. La habitación y el hotel estaba a muy buena temperatura a pesar del clima bajo cero exterior. El desayuno es tipo buffet y me pareció muy correcto.

Aparte de que es un hotel viejo y no renuevan nada, la calefacción muy alta, el agua caliente escasa, la calidad de la comida de los buffet pésima y el personal del restaurante bastante antipático excepto un chico joven que si era muy majo.

Hotel Closed with Valid Reservation

We had a valid/confirmed nonrefundable reservation for this hotel. We arrived to the hotel in the evening to find out that it is totally closed - everything was abandoned and it was dark: the place looked like a set for horror movies. We called the hotel's phone number provided on the reservation form from two landlines that belonged to a nearby restaurant and a hotel that were open at that time and from a cellphone to find out that the hotel's phone line was out of service. We were shocked that the hotel charged us for our stay (took our money) and didn't inform us that the hotel will be closed upon our arrival. We found ourselves in the middle of nowhere without a place to sleep in the evening - we felt cheated by the hotel. Are they doing this to other people too? Our vacation was interrupted and we had to look for another hotel for the night. We demand that hotels.com do something about this fraudulent hotel and provide us with refund and reimbursement from for such a horrible experience during our vacation.

Too noisy - very little sleep

This hotel is fine for a skiing trip but I won't be staying there again, I've stayed here quite a few times as it's very convenient and cheap but the last 2 times there have been coach loads of kids running a mock around the hotel until well past midnight and nobody seems to do anything about it. For an extra half hour trip up the mountain I'll be back to staying in Granada next ski season!

I'd like my money back!

I have stayed in this hotel before but this time it was horrendous.There was a school trip booked in to the hotel of around 50 children, running wild through the hotel and nobody doing anything to stop the noise. It didn't help with my room being at the top of the stairs on the 2nd floor but I could have been on the 6th floor and still heard the noise!!! Couldn't sleep until gone 12.30 am and I tonight seems like it is going to be worse!!
