"We had a perfect stay at Gruene River Hotel & Retreat. Everything was extremely clean, the staff was wonderful, and the entire property felt relaxing and well cared for. The homemade breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, and we loved visiting and talking with the staff — everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The additional snacks and drinks offered throughout the day really made the experience feel extra special. The grounds are beautiful, and we especially enjoyed spending time by the riverside. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Our room was clean and well organized. The kitchen had more than enough supplies to cook and eat with. Living room was spacious and the furniture was comfortable with plenty of seating available. My only issues were one of the bedrooms that goes onto the deck, sliding glass door was sealed unable to use to get to the deck. Washing machine didn’t spin well leaving clothes wetter and took long time to dry. Lastly, if playing pool is important to you for your stay, the pool table is in really bad shape.Otherwise, the location was phenomenal! The host was easy to communicate with, even let us check in early. We walked to the shops, restaurants, and Gruene Hall every day we were there. I would highly recommend this place to stay!!!"

"Friendly host that communicated on a regular basis. The amount of space allowed us to play football with ease and the space under the house allowed us to watch an outdoor movie while it rained. Best place I have ever used."

"Check in and out went very smoothly. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Great place to stary, very well maintained. Close to Gruene shops and entertainment; but the walk is not good, there are no side walks and traffic is busy. We had to drive. There is plenty of parking spaces at the shops."

"Great location in Gruene on the river. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The condos are a little bit older but have been kept up and clean. Has a walking path down to the river where you can get in the river or sit by the water. Host was easy to get in touch with and check in was smooth. Had a good time even though it rained the entire time we were in town."
