Home away from home
We had a great 2 night stay. Loved the spacious areas of the home with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The hosts were friendly and we loved the close proximity to the beach. Easy driving to Greymouth, Hokitika and the Arthur’s Pass Highway.

Slice of Paradise!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Tone and Tavanna are such friendly and welcoming hosts. Being able to bring our dogs here was amazing and they had the best time! Such a beautiful spot with the beach basically right outside the door and we look forward to coming back!

Very comfortable and so much to do, bonfire at the beach watching kids imaginations run wild. Hours of fun with no devices in sight. Can't wait to come back.

Great beach front property
The location is amazing with private beach access. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming. The unit is well designed and very comfortable. The garden area is beautifully styled and kept. My two dogs also had a fantastic holiday.

Amazing location!
Tone and Tavanna have such an amazing spot - as soon as you drive through their gates you feel like you are in a secret garden oasis - complete with your own private trail to the beach! The apartment is super clean and comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment. Super comfy beds were another plus. And best of all, they were such friendly and welcoming hosts. Definitely recommend!

Amazing place. We loved the 8 nights we stayed. Was great to be able to stay with our two dogs. They loved walking on the beach. Hopefully can stay again. Very lovely people, very friendly and helpful.

Great location by the beach
We loved our stay here. Comfortable and cosy with the sounds of the sea which we loved. A one minute walk to the beach and only a 10 minute drive to Greymouth. A peaceful and restful place to stay. Wonderful !!!

What a lovely guesthouse! Large, 2 bedroom is easily shared. Right on beach! Comfortable bed with well stocked kitchen. Any questions and the owner is quick to communicate with. Wish we could have stayed more than one night! Thank you!

Wish we could have stayed longer
Wonderful location, beautiful yard, friendly host that meets you when you get there, well equipped kitchen and a private beach to watch the sunset. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. We visited the free glow worm dell about 20 minutes away. It's something to see if you haven't seen them before. Option of having a fire on the beach if you are interested.

Overnight At The Beach
Wow, what a great place to stay. Clean and spacious rooms with big beds. Kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. Cooked dinner and breakfast and lacked for nothing. Steps to a private beach. Could hear the crashing of waves all night long - what a great way to go to sleep. Mother nature didn't cooperate so we didn't get to see the sunset over the Tasman Sea but still enjoyed a private fire on the beach. Tone and Tavanna were so friendly and helpful. Thanks for the memorable stay.

This was an easy place to find, super hosts who met us as we arrived, essy place, clean, fresh and bright and one night could not do justice to this place. What a destination! We just know that we want to go back for a proper visit, not just a flying visit!

Relaxing and friendly
A wonderful place to stay. We were travelling along the West Coast and this was a fantastic place to stop and enjoy the surroundings. The house facilities are immaculate inside and out. We enjoyed the garden, the deck, strolling on the beach, watching sunsets, and the short hop into town for any supplies. It was such a luxury to have the beds made up, fresh towels and ice ready in the freezer. The owners are so lovely. We turned up early and they were so welcoming. Everything was set up to make you feel relaxed.

We only stopped for a night on our way to Golden Bay. Hosts are both very welcoming. Good accommodation with lots of space and nice veranda ( watch for sandflies !)

Perfect for families
A great property with plenty of space for families. Clean and tidy and quiet and private, what more could you ask for? The beach access was so good, the sunset camp fires were amazing and everything you could need for the set up was provided and explained. Really great place that we will definitely visit again next summer!

Great place for our whanau to spend Christmas. Plenty of space for our family of 4 to unwind and relax and enjoy the beach. Far enough away we felt it was a great escape but close enough to town to get things if needed. Absolutely loved our stay!

So much room in this private apartment surrounded by garden and so near the beach. Our hosts were really welcoming and it was a great location to explore both Greymouth and Hokitika areas.

Everything you need for a stay on the beach in South Island.
We were warmly welcomed by our two hosts who showed us their well equipped accommodations including comfy chairs to use at the beach which was just across the yard. They recommended several options for dinner from 5 to 15 min away. Then after dinner in Greymouth we had a beautiful night with a beach bonfire and a great night sleep in comfortable beds. The next morning they gave us good advice for traveling north. Loved the home location and hosts. Great for a stop between Queenstown and Abel Tasman.

Very friendly hosts, well equipped kitchen. Quiet, idealic garden surround & short walk to beach on your door step. Unfortunately we only had 1 night stay & bad weather made visibility on beach poor. Need to be prepared with supplies or happy to travel to Greymouth or Hokitika for dining out options.

Being right next to the beach, the location couldn’t be better.The hosts are very welcoming and available should you need them. Best for me was being able to bring my dog who was living his best life! The huge verandah meant we could eat outside even when it rained heavily. If you enjoy the beach and sunset watching, this is the spot! Thanks for the stay.

A hidden gem!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay, and especially appreciated the kind hospitality of our hosts. The private beach access was a bonus, and the host equipped us with everything we could need to enjoy a lovely fireside sunset on the beach. We also loved how welcoming the hosts where to our dogs, and appreciated that the thought put into making the home dog-friendly. We will be back!

We had a lovely two day visit with Tone & Tavanna and wish we could have planned for a longer stay. It’s the perfect place to unwind and relax. We enjoyed the beach access and having the beach to ourselves. The best part though is Tone & Tavanna. They are the nicest folks we’ve met in NZ and wish we could have spent more time talking with them. Highly recommend staying with them if you’re looking for a spot in Greymouth!
