We came to Olomouc with a group of summer abroad students. The Clarion hotel is a much upgraded version of a previous hotel named Sigma. It is new, clean and modern. The hotel is just opposite the train station and about 25 minutes walk or four tram stops from the upper and lower squares (the old center of Olomouc). The staff spoke English and was helpful. I arrived after midnight. I was welcomed by a very nice and welcoming lady, I later found out she is security. Theresian is a new hotel with great central location. I stayed there during Olomouc half marathon event and the hotel made our stay very pleasant by providing bottle of water, protein bars and discount on special marathon menu in their restaurant.
