"Me and my husband came here to stay on our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! The view looking at Taunton Bay is so beautiful. The house is so cozy to set around and relax. We done a lot of exploring at Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park & Schoodic. Something really neat we done was sent to Lulus Lobster Boat Tour and learned how Lobsters are caught and all info about Lobsters which was really interesting and also we seen so many Seals while on the tour and that was my favorite part! There is so much to do that's not far from the house. Also, we ate out everyday because we didn't wanna cook lol and the best place in our opinion was Y.U. Take Out which is like 10 minutes away and it's AMAZING 10/10! We love Maine so much that we'll be back next year. Mark is very responsive if you have any questions, he replies very quick. If you are planning a trip to Maine and aren't sure on which VRBO to pick let me save you the trouble trying to make up your mind and stay at Mark's Escape, you won't regret it! Me and my husband have memories here that we'll forever cherish. Mark thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful and peaceful home. The Millers."

"The cabin was just as described. Right on the water and decorated so nicely. Beds were so comfortable. Beautiful view of George's Pond. Very cozy!! Far enough away from all the crowds of Bar Harbor ."

"The place was lovely, our only suggestion would be that if you do have a booking, if the kayaks were tied up to the dock, they would be more available. There is no easy way to get them into the pond, and being almost 70 we didn’t attempt to use them."

"We had a lovely time! Weather was perfect. I toured the lake in one of the kayaks. We enjoyed stunning night sky clarity. Saw and heard loons, great blue herons, ducks, heard owls. We explored the local trails (Frenchman Bay Conservancy has many lovely properties).The house is large, very well equipped, had everything we wanted and lots of things to do. The drive to Acadia National Park is short enough to make it ok for a few days visits.The one time we contacted the owner, he responded immediately. We love this house, and highly recommend it!"

"The place was adorable and well equipped....and spotless. It's very hard to combat the bugs that want to live in your home while staying in a cabin in the woods but this place had no hidden surprises. The owner was also very thoughtful in her/his ideas of what people are looking for or might need while they are there and it was all there. The outside areas were great for people who enjoy peace and quiet out in nature also."
