Top Great Basin Hotel Reviews
Gold Dust West Carson City
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the service and their interest in our Medical situation. They were very helpful and I'd recommend to anyone. Thanks again for all your help in our time of need. Diane & Rich Robbins"
Little America Hotel
8/10 Good
"Overall this was a great stay. It's obvious that the Little America property is well taken care of, despite its age. One thing I noticed is, the way-finding in the buildings needs some attention. There are a couple of signs on the wall at the entrance of the Garden Villa building we stayed in that tell you which general direction the room number groupings are—but once you turn any given corner and would expect to see the signs that show more groupings, they are nowhere to be found. The layout of the villas isn't super intuitive (more turns around corners than you would expect), so I just ended up guessing my way there by watching the room numbers as I walked. Kind of weird, since every other baseline hotel or motel I've ever stayed at has those at pretty much any junction in the hallways. Our room was very nice overall. My only complaint is that the mattress was surprisingly stiff. We booked a Premium King suite, and we didn't sleep very well because of how uncomfortable the mattress was. They also only had feather pillows—which is fine—but when I asked the front desk for a more firm pillow, they sent someone to the room with "foam pillows" that weren't any more stiff by any means. I usually bring my own pillow because I'm a pillow diva, but I thought they might at least have an option that's different than the ones in the room. Not a dealbreaker, though. We really did love our stay and will come back. We might look more into sleeping options (maybe the tower...?)"

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino
10/10 Excellent
"I don’t mind self check-in as long as there is someone nearby to help if needed. Not the case here. There was nobody anywhere to help."
Harrah's Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino – A Caesars Rewards Destination
10/10 Excellent
"Valet costs -40$, Self parking costs - 20$"
J Resort
10/10 Excellent
"This property used to be the Sands Casino but it's now the J Resort and it's totally remodeled now and very nice. The check-in process is easy, the hotel is easy to manage, not too big, and it's very clean and does not smell of smoke at all. The rooms are clean and modern with good lighting in the bathrooms. The entire resort is easy to access, modern and new. There was a mini kitchen in our room however it's just a full size refrigerator, sink and counter. There is a floor to ceiling window and lovely views of the hills. We did not eat there or use the out door pool."
