"This property is amazing! There's an old mill with a stream, a cute bridge and fish to watch. There are fruit trees, an outdoor bbq building, mountain views and a town nearby with everything you need. It's about 20-25 minutes away from the university town of Coimbra, which has lots of tourist attractions, major shopping, etc. Also, the owners are wonderful and so helpful. This was a great experience and vacation."

"Staff were very nice. Rooms were simple but effective. Heating was working (some reviews dud not understand that there was a switch on the side as well as he temp control.) hot water also good. Fridge, basic cooking equipment plates etc. Bring a corkscrew and a small coffee percolator if you need them. Towels and bed sheets with a duvet all clean etc. "

All the comforts of home; nicely stocked kitchen, great fireplace (heated the whole house), comfortable beds, and nice hot showers. Even offering to pick us up in Candal after our very long misplaced hike. Definitely purchase any supplies before arriving as the tiny Mercado...

"This is a really lovely property: large, modern, beautiful, comfortable. It is in a small village, and is 1-2 hours away from many wonderful Portugal experiences, including, the sea shore, Douro Valley, Porto, Schist Villages, Tomar (must see the Templar castle there), Fatima, and more.
