"My booking was confirmed and the host contacted me later the next day to tell me they were overbooked. They said they had been booked for my stay for over 2 months. Property was on several sites. How they did not know this for 2 months is beyond my comprehension. They apologized and basically told me it was my problem to deal with and also told me to cancel. "Convenient location, friendly staff (the lady at check-in was just the best), upgrade without asking, clean room with everything I needed, easy parking. Bed was great - warm and plenty of blankets. All in all, great value for money. It is only just off the main drag, but I had no issues with traffic noise, neighbours or other guests - in fact if I hadn't been told I would never have known about the markets directly across the road on the Sunday morning. The facility is showing its age a little but that is a comment only and doesn't result in any negatives on my 2-night stay. I would happily stay here again if and when I have the need to be in back in Stanthorpe."

"It had a very odd smell & although it looked clean it didn’t feel clean. Our breakfast basket was given to me upon check in & no follow up unlike other places we’ve stayed out, where a fresh breakfast basket was delivered every morning. The kindling box wasn’t full when we arrived it was up to us to find kindling which was hard as it’d been raining also as the fire starter jar was only a quarter full n it had absorbed the humidity which rendered it useless. The parking was not suited to a larger vehicle. During our stay we never saw the hosts unlike other accommodation where the hosts popped buy to check if we needed anything"

"Lovely location. Very modern. Bed was so comfortable. Glenn was kind enough to help us light the outside fire. Fireplace inside was lovely and warm. Plenty of wood. We enjoyed our stay in Stanthorpe"

"The cottage was very nice & we got it very warm & comfortable.1) We could not see the point of the key safe at the top of the front stairs, when you can only get into the property from the rear stairs/deck… being older people it was a pain & not to practical.2) we did not feel like welcomed guess, just a little note to say “HI Jill, hope you enjoy your stay (small little chalk board on the work bench would be good) & in the fridge some milk and maybe a bottle of local wine would of been nice” seeing that you are in the QLD wine district. They had Tea & Coffee & other condiments but did not milk(when you have been travelling 6 hours, it would have been nice a cuppa of tea).Any correspondence I had with the owner the replies were quite short…3) it would of been helpful to have had a more info in the welcome pack, eg how to use the TV, Fridge Ice & cold water ect, so that people are not just pressing buttons at random & could break things (not every one has good appliants).4) some of the Pink plates we chipped… not a good look.5) we run out to Loo roll’s (in the toilet next to the Kitchen) there was 4 adults using this toilet & there was 1 full roll on the holder & 2 on the window ceil that were around 1/4 full!!! So we had to buy some.."

"The place we stayed in at Thulimbah, was ideally located about 10 min from Stanthorpe and 30min from Warick. It was very clean , had 3 Brms all with BIRs an open area lounge dining and kitchen. The house is fully equipped with all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils that anyone could need and it was easy to navigate around. There was a combustion fire for those cold nights and that certainly warmed up the interior quickly and it was very comfortable inside. There was a small book library and also a small dvd library.The property was fenced so our Jack Russell had plenty of space to do zoomies around the back yard. Teresa the property manager was very good and there was a cheese platter awaiting us on arrival. We certainly enjoyed our short stay and we would certainly go again for longer. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and stay there."
