As advertised, it is tranquil, self-contained, and centrally located. It is close to trails and has a beautiful setting. We would repeat the experience.
It was wonderful having the stream and waterfall in the backyard. The view and the sounds really make you feel at peace. The property was great and the owners are wonderful as well.
The property is perfect and has everything you need to unplug, relax and enjoy nature in its purest form. The creek running next to the cottage was beautiful and the trails surrounding the area are definitely worth checking out. I will be back!
This may be the most peaceful and gorgeous place I have ever stayed. So quiet and endless things to see. . Could explore for days.... Will be visiting again..
Everything was perfect. Close to Asheville proper but completely remote feeling. Property is beautiful with ample trails nearby. Would definitely return.
Lived up to the reviews left by all. Host turned us on to a little private swimming hole just up the creek. Cabin itself is absolutely secluded and wonderful. Will be back.

Laughing waters cabin
I thought the cabin was awesome. The location was perfect. We had a great time. Thank you.
beautiful property convenient to Asheville and surrounding outdoor recreation. The ambiance of the space with babbling creek was really nice to fall asleep to, or have morning coffee next to. Would definitely recommend
We were looking for a short getaway where we could hike some and read much. We couldn't have been happier with the beautiful cabin and the wonderful sounds of the creek tumbling over the rocks in the stream bed.
For short hikes, we left our car parked and could walk along the trails in either direction. A lovely place to enjoy nature!

a cozy cabin in a great location
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was cozy right on the water and had great hiking paths. There were plenty of stores all within a 20 minute reach and the Biltmore was about 30 minutes away. Thank you so much.

Wonderful Retreat
The property was as listed. A wonderful retreat from the summer heat of the city. The location was perfect and allowed us to spend time in the quiet of the woods but close enough to run to town for some fun. The cabin was just the right size for two people and tucked away in a private location on the property. I would definately go again!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin at Laughing Waters. It is an idyllic setting in a beautiful forest by the creek and conveniently located near Asheville. We’ve stayed here several times and it always proves to be the perfect place to check out and relax. Each time, we leave rested and rejuvenated. The host of this property is readily available, responsive, and accommodating. The cabin itself is clean, well equipped, and charming. Helene had a tremendous impact on the community; however, the atmosphere around the cabin is better than ever. The creek is much larger and more accessible, several great spots for a creekside fire. The area around the cabin has opened up to reveal the beauty of the property. We highly recommend.

what a little slice of heaven!
cabin and grounds were simply beautiful! Everything was clean and away from all the noise of the road. The trails are great and views are breathe taking! We really hated to leave and can't wait to come back! Having no TV in the cabins are a blessing! Thank you for sharing your awesome place in the Forest!
Cottage had everything we needed, especially the full sized washer and dryer was super handy. Would have liked some newer "green pans" for cooking. Everything else was environmentally perfect.
Was just what we were looking for. Because of the way it is situated in the trees next to the creek you wouldn't know anything else was around. Very private . We plan to return and experience it in the fall.

Relaxing, serene
Spent 5 days at the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful, the gentle song of the stream and breeze of the trees are so enjoyable when sitting in the deck. The cabin is clean and there was plenty of room for the both of us. The location was great, between Asheville and Chimney Rock. Plenty of trails right out of the cabin. Highly recommend Laughing Waters.
Cabin feels deep in the woods with a river running about 20yrds down a hill from the cabin. The entire property has one thing after another to explore, from amazing trails, waterfalls, orchids and ponds. The cabin had everything we needed. Wifi was excellent. Check in and out was stress free. Highly recommended!
My husband and I wanted to go to the Asheville area to explore waterfalls, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and all that the mountain region has to offer. I was instantly drawn to the running waterfalls on this property. It was so incredibly relaxing. The property had so many unique features to it. I couldn’t get enough. The house was gorgeous, clean, and had everything we needed and more. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Magical
Truly, this piece of land and housing is amazing. Perfect getaway for my husband and I. Being immersed in nature is one of our favorite places to be and Laughing Waters provided us with this experience. Serene and peaceful. We enjoyed a 4 hour hike one day by simply walking outside the cottage. Thank you to John & Heidi for being such amazing stewards of this land...you can feel the love they invest there.
