Georges Bay Esplanade

The place is modern but a few key issues arose. We added breakfast to our stay, however when we went to breakfast (around 8:40, breakfast is served until 9:30) more than half the hot food options were empty, there were only two others in the dining room but there were dirty tables, and there was no milk with the coffee. I had to ask for milk to which only light milk was provided. The room was modern. However some serious issues. The shower was set short and is not adjustable, my husband who is just under 6ft had to kneel in the shower to fit. Also the shower screen is glass but doesn’t cover even half the space which meant the spray off from regular use covers the bathroom and hallway floor with water. When we arrived to our room the hallway floor was soaking from the previous customers showering with the bathroom door open, and the room smelt of mould probably from this occurring over and over. A shame to have a few key issues on a Mercure hotel where you should be able to expect an excellent experience.
