Blue Hues is a centrally located home that sits on over one acre of gardens along with a protected calm water sandy beach and a wonderful reef offshore for snorkeling.We are located in the very private exclusive enclave of Old Hooper's Bay which is a 30 acre private community just west of Hooper's Bay. This center island property is shared with only 7 other seasonal homes and borders its own exclusive community calm water Beach and Park reserve and is tucked away from the main road. Their are no private beaches in the Bahamas but our private (no public access) entrance to Old Hooper's Bay makes our home and beach a very peaceful and most importantly a very private place. Our prime center Island location offers the benefit of easy access to Georgetown and many amenities, which include banking, shopping, restaurants and groceries. The guest house and main house come as one if desired and will never be rented separately to other groups.

Blue Hues is a well appointed Beachfront Home with optional Guest House along with its own Private Pool which offers a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. This beautiful home sits on over one acre of lush gardens surrounded by over 40 years of local hand crafted stonework and native terraced landscaping .Our home has over 180 degrees of stunning turquoise water views complete with a large outdoor patio and a expansive pool deck which offer great places to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
You can stroll the rarely occupied Beach and calm waters just steps away.

This 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath main house has been superbly furnished and offers luxury island living at its best. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house with an additional rental option for the Guest House complete with a queen bedroom, living room, full bath, and kitchen. This is a perfect unit for Nannies, Grandparents or older Children.
*Main House and Guest House are provided with automatic whole house generator in the event of power outage which can be frequent.
Our wireless WIFI network along with Star link for our TV streaming service works great throughout the property including the Beach
*** NOTE: Main house sleeps 6 adults with a extra queen cabinet bed in bedroom two suitable for 2 small children for the 795.00 per night rate.
Our Guest House sleeps two adults only and if desired,additional charge is 190.00 per night plus 50.00 cleaning fee.
***GUEST HOUSE and MAIN HOUSE come as one and will NEVER be rented separately or to other groups
*** Guest House is not available with instant book please call before booking main house if desired.***

This was a great vacation experience!!! The home is well maintained by the host, and the amenities are second to none!!! I would highly recommend the main house, as well as the guest house. The best part is that the staff is a phone call away for anything you might need.

Heaven on earth

One week isn’t long enough. The beauty of the sunrise from the back porch every morning made it worth setting our alarm clocks even on vacation. There are plenty of amenities on the property and it is very close to Georgetown. We will definitely be returning to Blue Hues in the future. Thank you again for the wonderful memories!!!

Paradise in Exuma

Beautiful home in Exuma Bahamas! Views of turquoise water surrounds you from your patio as well as gorgeous tropical gardens and a short walk to your own private beach! You couldn’t ask for more!

Exuma vacation

Rick and Jodi go above and beyond to ensure guests have all they need for a perfect island getaway. The location was gorgeous, house (and guesthouse) were well stocked with essentials and immaculate, and the pool and landscaping well maintained. Easy check in/check out and super responsive to any questions or needs. Our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Great place in Exuma!

The property was just as described. The view from the deck and lower deck with pool was awesome! The turquoise blue waters of the ocean were amazing. Rick was awesome to work with from the minute we booked the place. Was a great holiday!!

Bravo Rick & Jodi!! We recently stayed a week a Blue Hues and it was an absolute joy! The location on the ocean is perfection the pool is an awesome spot to keep an eye on the ocean and I spent mornings on the patio watching the sun come up over the ocean! The flowers and the birds were a constant feast for the eyes! The house is gorgeous and has everything you'd ever need. The feeling that really stuck with me throughout was I've stayed at rental properties before and this wasn't that..this was a home! Thank you Rick & Jodi for sharing it with us!!

Best water views on the island

The views from this home and its pool were so terrific that my wife and I didn't eat a single meal at a restaurant all week, except on Monday, when we chartered a boat to go on the iguana, pigs, sharks, and sandbar trip. I can't imagine what this property has in terms of hardscape and landscaping. We will be back next year. We used and recommed Island Wings to charter a light twin to and from Nassua and Capt Andrew at Comfortventures for our boat charter.

Great multi-generational stay!

We stayed just over a week at Blue Hues with our kids and grandkids, ages two and five. Everyone had an absolute wonderful time, and enjoyed everything this property had to offer! The home was perfect for our two families. It had everything you could think of! From the well stocked indoor cards and games, to the plethora of outdoor seating and water toys. We spent our time hanging out by the pool, or lounging in the hammock by the ocean! We loved the privacy and beautiful gardens! The peacocks were loved by our grandchildren! We will always treasure our time spent at this special place. Thank you Rick!

One week in paradise!

We just returned from our first trip to Exuma. We rented Blue Hues based on location, reviews, amenities offered, view... everything is accurate. It is a nice CLEAN home situated in a "resort feeling" setting of beautiful landscaping. All with an amazing view of the gorgeous turquoise waters of the Bahamas.We enjoyed the private pool, almost private beach, nice spacious back patio with plenty of comfy seating options. There were no surprises! We don't know if we'll ever be back on the island, but if we are, we would not hesitate to rent Blue Hues again. Rick is an amazing owner and so easy to work with! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

I can't say enough positive things about this beautiful home. Pool and beach on property were one of the highlights. Perfect if traveling with children. Location of the house is close to the airport, grocery, restaurants and downtown Georgetown. The house itself is clean and has everything you might need for cooking, playing in pool or sitting on the beach. The view from the house is spectacular! Rick, the owner, made everything so easy. Constant communication and great tips on travel, restaurants, excursions etc. We will return to the beautiful Blue Hues!

We stayed here for my 60th Birthday. The villa is stunning, attention to detail 1st class, with everything at the property you could wish for. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach matts, coolers to take to the beach. The interior is stunning, with everything you need and more and the gardens are so pretty and private and the location is superb. 7 properties in 30 acres, totally private in a private quiet road with its own beach for residents! The pool has sun loungers and inflatables in the garage. The annexe was so nice and none of us wanted to leave. The host gave us so much information and was so helpful. I don’t think you could get a better villa and location in Exuma . As we are from the Uk it’s a long way for us but if I was in America I would be going here every year. Amazing, Amaxing Amaxing ! Fabulous property!

Blue Hues is beautiful beyond description! The house is spotless and has all the amenities you could possibly need. The beds are very comfortable. The grounds are manicured and the plants & vegetation are so lush. The ocean view is spectacular and the proximity to the beach is great. Highly recommend!

Best house we’ve ever stayed at in Exuma!

This what our 6th to Exuma and this was the best house we’ve stayed at. It was perfect for our family of 4. The view is amazing. The property is beautiful. The pool was a favorite for the kids. The beach is private and calm and pristine. The house is centrally located on the island and close to restaurants and grocery stores. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We highly recommend this house and we look forward to our next stay at Blue Hues!!

What an amazing place! Richard’s home is truly gorgeous. Very spacious and tidy. Great master mattress! So much great advice from Richard as well on things to do and etc. the private beach shared with just a few neighbors was amazing! We highly recommend and will be back soon!

Magical trip in the best house

The owner Rick is amazing and is available for any and all questions. The house is beautiful and has everything you need and more to not have to worry about anything. The guesthouse is great for people in the group that want a little more privacy. The pool perfect size and half of it is just deep enough to sit and sip your cocktail. The garage full of chairs, toys, floats, etc.The location is perfect. The best for last the view from the deck is unimaginable and no picture can do it justice..We will be back for sure.
