Great accommodations in Genoa

SAN Giorgio Rooms are fantastic! The front desk gentleman was very kind and spoke very good English. He took the time to draw out all the highlights to see close to the hotel. The largest aquarium in Europe is just across the plaza. The sheets on the bed are so crisp and the down comforter was so warm. Highly recommend this accommodation. It is very private and not like a regular hotel with front desk, restaurant etc.

Good location, however when we arrived, they told us we hadn’t paid, we paid through Expedia and proved it to them but they were having none of it. So they had to speak direct to Expedia but took over an hour! Secondly, they told us we didn’t book breakfast, however the website and Expedia stated free breakfast when booking the room, they refused to give us it and had to pay as we had kids with us. Spent an hour on the phone to Expedia and managed to get the money back. Wouldn’t recommend as the staff were rude and unhelpful!

So, on pictures you’re getting a deluxe suite . We got a room with two beds and a bathroom. The roo Was beautiful. And super clean. However, I had the hardest time sleeping. The door is a barn door that slides . I didn’t feel safe. The windows are paper thin so you absolutely need ear plugs to sleep . You hear everything . Inside and outside. Because of the barn doors you hear all the first in the other rooms. And all the noise outside. One thing I did enjoy is the breakfast room. It’s beautiful. I with we were allowed to just relax there because you cannot relax in the room with an entire family. Any ways, not as pictured because I thought the space would be bigger. The pictures make you feel like there was more room. The instructions to get there are hard. But, once settled it fine. If you’re traveling as a couple. And have ear plugs , you’ll love it. Not ideal for a family. In this room . I think they have other rooms .
