"We stayed at DaTea for 12 nights in early August. It is located in the quiet village of Olzai, right in the middle of the island, far from massive hotel complexes and mass tourism, while all the surrounding beaches are easily reachable by rental car within an hour or two. We got to visit a different beach each day. The stay was incredibly pleasant; everything was new and clean, and the landlady is an absolute gem! We would love to come back!!!"

"Stunning views, but that’s what you’re paying for. To be honest the place has great potential but it’s super worn down and not taken care of. Maybe it’s because we visited during off season but the furniture/couches outside were both dirty and broken, the rooms were ok clean, but low standard with things breaking and iffy heating. You will struggle if you don’t speak Italian as the personell barely speak English. It’s not 24/7 reception so we had issues at 01 am with people from the camping...

"Had a wonderful stay here. It’s just a 15 min ride down to Cala Gonone and less than 3 minutes to the nearest grocery store (crai). The room was perfectly clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The hotel staff were very kind and informative. We had a wonderful experience!"

"Palazzo Cherchi is an absolutely stunning place to stay. For the price point it was absolutely fantastic, fridge space and kitchen for cooking yourself, 5 minute walk from a large free car park and close to centre of Dorgali! The bedroom was spotless and absolutely beatuiful. Dorgali itself is only a 15 minute drive from Cala Gonone so a great cheaper option than staying in Cala Gonone itself. Mountain views are breathtaking! Would absolutely recommend and would return in a hear beat."

"The Palazzo Santa Caterina is a beautiful historical building with a wonderful history. It is located near restaurant and shops. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is exceptionally delicious. The workers work hard to make your stay wonderful. They are knowledgeable, helpful and very kind and genuine. The city of Dorgali is beautiful against the backdrop of the mountains. It has a lot of character and the people of this city are kind and go out of their way to be helpful, I highly recommend the Palazzo Santa Caterina."

"Su Gologone is an immersive Sardinian experience where you feel the rustic, rugged beauty of the mountains and rock formations of this island. our suite was spectacular; two levels, two full bathrooms, two terraces each with its own outdoor soaking tub. the food was delicious and very fairly priced considering the isolation of this resort--they could charge anything they want because it's so remote. But they don't. and the portions are huge, my husband and I shared some meals. Christian, the concierge and everywhere guy, was beyond helpful and attentive. took care of our every request from recommending wineries to providing comfortable quiet seating at the outdoor bar terrace where the loud music bothered our friends. Rooms were in impeccable condition; the landscaping is rustic; half the plants were stressed or dying, but it had been an incredibly hot summer and we were there in the fall, so understandable the plants weren't at their peak. the pool is lovely although the grass around it is muddy and there are bugs that bite, beware to bring bug spray. our only complaint is lack of comfortable seating--they have authentic ladder back/woven rush seat chairs in the dining room, suites/rooms and various public locations, and they are miserable to sit in, even if they are "local" and cute. comfortable dining chairs would be a huge plus in our opinion. we really couldn't wait to finish breakfast or dinner just to get out of the chairs."

"The grounds of this property are gorgeous and the staff are very friendly. Dinner is delicious! We didn’t do breakfast (€17/person) because we prefer a cafe in town. The room was fine, the beds and pillows were very firm and we had trouble sleeping. There is a hammock, and I wish there were more cozy chairs to lounge in since there really isn’t much to do besides read. There were games out on the first day, then it rained and they went away and we didn’t see them again. We traveled with two young kids and while I loved the property grounds, it wasn’t the best place for kids."
