Basswood Lodge

Property wasn’t the cleanest. Dirty sheets on the sofa bed. Bugs that I can’t identify but think were roaches. Broken dishwasher (blocked drain) no vacuum or broom to clean up after ourselves. Could have better lighting. Washing machine is dirty…possible mold. Dust on the walls in downstairs bathroom and den area. Everything that I did report was taken care of. I feel that every so often all properties should have a thorough cleaning

Amazing House to stay ...2 minor suggestions

The elk roof resort house was amazing. We loved the stay for us 5 adults and 2 kids. Can fit 2 more and live lavishly if below 2 improvements are made 1)Winter weather - please add portable non hazardous heaters in basement/bottom floor. Basement no matter what does not heat up in winter. 2) Add better winter comfortors....some of us allergic to those rough woolen blankets. At&t mobile service does not provide adequate service but house wifi is super strong for internet and streaming.

Great calming stay

Everything was like the way it was as mentioned in vrbo. The family really enjoyed the stay. The maintenance people were also quite helpful and timely in fixing a slight issue in the bathroom.

Weedend Stay

We had a great visit!! we had a family of 5 and had plenty of room.. We enjoyed all the amenities and was very relaxed the entire time. Felt like a home away from home.. It was a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg, which was nice.. The Host was excellent!!! They made sure everything was perfect for our stay.. Communicating with them was so easy.. Would definitely stay with them again..

Cabin…beautiful. Location…not so good.

The cabin was very beautiful and everything was very clean and tidy. The theater wouldn’t play any sports networks. The only thing that would work were the DVD’s that were left there. I wasn’t pleased with the cabin’s location. There was basically no privacy. We were across the road from another cabin that, when you stand at your own vehicle, you could see straight into that cabin and were playing jazz music that we could hear from inside our cabin. Also, from another cabin on another street, we could hear a party/bachelor party/whatever it was, happening until well after 1am every night. They were shouting, VERY loudly, profanities, as well as, doing some type of hatchet throwing into a box of some sort that echoed really loudly. Due to these inconveniences, I will, most likely, not rent this cabin again.

Cabin review

The check in and out process was simple. The cabin was ok but worn. The cabin was too close to others and neighbors were loud partying. Property was clean but carpets were very worn.

Lack of Cleanliness

We checked into a cabin that wasn't cleaned well. Popcorn in the movie theater room, bottle caps miscellaneous everywhere, and I left having a horrible bacterial infection due to the hot tub, which I had to seek medical treatment. We called requesting a early trash pickup and had to follow up several times due to lack of pick up.... finally picked up at 1130pm. While this was a nice cabin, when you pay alot of money you kinda expect at the least it would be clean.

Family fun! Multigenerational

We had a great time, 9 of us, my parents, my sibs & spouses. We wouldn't have had to leave the property, there's so much to do there! We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday! Had a fantastic time, in a beautiful setting, with Great accommadations. We're already talking about a return visit! ❤
