The location of the Miller Beach House was great - near the beach - but requires climbing over sand dunes so is a bit difficult for anyone elderly or unable to exert themselves. The house layout was fantastic, with plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor space. With some tight squeezing, we were able to accommodate parking all of our cars, which was very helpful. Lots of lake toys and beach chairs were supplied. Beds were comfortable, with nice linens.
We did have a few issues, however. We could have used more towels, and the kitchen was not very well stocked. No trash bags or extra paper towels, no kitchen cleaning supplies at all other than a small bottle of dishwashing liquid. No garbage disposal. One of the pullout sofas was unusable. And while we appreciated the need for conservation of water, the showers were complicated to use. Too, the house has some quirks - shower door in master bath doesn't slide properly and towel bar located such that you have to climb into the bathtub to access it. Finally, to our dismay, we received a "neighborhood noise complaint" text the morning of our departure. Apparently, our loading up of cars was a problem. With an early check out time - 10:00 am - I don't know how this could have been avoided. 5:00 pm check in was also kind of late for folks coming from eastern time zones.
All in all, I'd give this place a 3.5 star. Great house for the beach.
