"Great spot"

"We love the place, the location, the owner and the staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. Breakfast was wonderful, I have but one suggestion that the light in the hallway be a motion light, so that is not on all night, because our room was very bright at night."

"This is a gem of a find. Beautifully fitted out and managed with exceptional care. The facilities in the room and common parts are simply great and nothing was too much trouble. Mitchelstown has much to offer but Birdies is above and beyond."

"Front desk staff helpful. No lift so stairs to rooms but staff did carry luggage. Convenient location, lovely dinner in bar. Close to Irwin’s for drinks and music. Not sure why but we were told not to drink tap water and had to carry water from bar. Very close to Cahir castle."

"Had a beautiful old world room facing the manor gates. Very spacious. A little noisy at night with traffic on main road. No elevators. Availed of amenities. Had reflexology. Good in restaurant was very tasteful. Staff were lovely. Chef delivered meal.The garden was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed the beautiful gammon. Thought that was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend. Enjoyed my stay"
