If you don't read this whole thing, know this... 1. You can't check in after 9:00 pm. This is hidden in the fine print of your reservation. Also, check-in is at the Krispy Krunchy, 3/4 of a mile down the road. 2. Bring you own pillows and comforter. 3. The rooms are NOT soundproof as stated in "amenities". 4. Bring air freshener, rooms have definitely been smoked in and smell gross. 5. Plan on at least one night/morning with no hot water. 6. Smoke detector was disassembled and laying on top of the refrigerator. 7. The refrigerator is huge, and there is a microwave. No cups, Kleenex or any other convenience amenities. 8. You will need ear plugs. Here is our experience in detail. We have stayed at the Carole Motel before. We are in Savannah yearly and it has worked for us in the past, but some things have changed. I know you get what you pay for. The last two times we have stayed there, check in was on site and the staff has been very friendly and accommodating. All of that has changed. Fortunately, we got to the Carole Motel at 8:47 pm. After waiting a short amount of time to check in at the hotel (because I wasn't aware of the new procedure) a tall man in a big truck showed up to tell me there was no on site check-in and you had to check in at the Krispy Krunchy down the road before 9:00, because the Krispy Krunchy closes at 9:00 pm. It is a short drive down the road. We seriously got to the Krispy Krunchy at 8:58 pm and were able to get our key card from the nice young

The place was near the downtown. No host greeted us upon arrival and key retrieval was on another inn. Clean room however there were dirts in the bedsheet and the chair was awful. Lastly, in the middle of our sleep at around 3 AM, we heard someone knocked on our door and there were people outside, I think homeless, making some noise that made us awake for a quite time and most especially, unsafe.

The room i stayed in was literally falling apart. The popcorn ceiling was peeling in the bathroom bathroom sink was not attached to it's base or the wall. I had to birdbath in the sink because there was no hot water in the shower. Window unit was ridiculously loud. And the tv was broken. Overall, my stay at the carole motel was absolutely horribly disappointing.

Price was cheap so I was not expecting much. However, reason why it is so cheap is because: no staff facility, you need to pick up the key about 3 min driving distance or 20 min walking distance from the motel. Train going by next to the motel all throughout the day and night. I woke up many timea during the middle of the night because of the noise. One towel, no dryer. No power next to the bed. If you are okay with these conditions, this would not be too bad for you. For me, it was okay other than the train noise and no hair dryer.

Stay away

The office on site is closed so you are expected to drive to a different location to check in/out. The smell of cleaning chemical is overwhelming to the point that it made us sick. We had to make our own bed with the poor excuse of a blanket that was left. It is directly across from a very active railway close to a mill that smells atrocious! The fridge, microwave and tv are all plugged into the same outlet which poses a fire hazard. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, the towel bar was broken and the room would never get to a comfortable temperature.

I booked the room and then started driving from NC to Savannah, Georgia. Im disabled and have to make alot stops so it was after 9pm. I did not see message they sent me. The door said to check in at hotel down the road. It was midnight and my gps was being whack. I could not find the other hotel. It was late and I was exhausted so I went another hotel. I got the travel insurance. I sent them 2 messages regarding getting refunded for the 3 days left on the reservation. I agree with paying for first night. I have not heard from them and no refund.

The place didn't notify that check-in in another location. TV didn't work and there was anyone to attemd to it. The room had huge cockroaches and there was no cleaning service.
