"This boutique hotel is quiet & perfect for solo travelers. The staff at the front desk & the restaurant are most kind & hospitable & they speak English. Irene at the front desk was most helpful to me. She saw me struggling with my roller board to get it up the front steps. She left the desk & came down to help me. I thought that was so special."

"Good choice of breakfast . Very clean throughout the hotel . Room top up of clean towels etc was excellent. Wonderful private beach with a lovely bar . The only gripe is being charged 20 euros for a bottle of water in the restaurant"

"The best parts of Hotel Major were its proximity to the Trieste airport and their free breakfast. The hotel is very basically decorated as are its amenities. Free parking was nice but they had no ramp for hauling in luggage. The front entrance was 4-5 steps down. The surrounding area seemed very industrial. Check in went smoothly but reception staff was not overly friendly, just did his job."
