Gab Gab Beach

Not accessible for lone travellers in wheelchairs because it takes 2 elevators to enter/exit and staff is unwilling to push a wheelchair all the way out of the building. A documented leak due to a ceiling crack in the bathroom was not repaired after two reports, then my room was changed. Privacy was repeatedly invaded, staff changed quickly (I never saw the same face twice in seven weeks) and there was a general reluctance to do anything until checkout. Wifi never worked reliably, room keys mostly failed, obtaining clean towels and toilet paper was a hassle. What was good: staff did cooperate with Sunny, a private driver I hired.

The staff was wonderful. The room was very spacious. More than one person really needed. I only tried the breakfast on the last day as I was very busy during my stay, but it was great. Being a resident of Guam for 12 years, I love the local food, which the buffet featured several items that I have often enjoyed. I intend to move back to the island after my international work is complete. But, until that happens, I will make the Hoshino my go to for visiting. I am a main stay at Wild Bill's, a friendly sports bar just down the street, so the Hoshino is a perfect place for me to stay when only visiting.

Probably the best hotel beach on the island, but the hotel is getting old and looks beat. Not the greatest job of cleaning the common spaces, my room's carpet had stains all around as did most of the furniture in the room. And they want over 300 a night. When I checked in, I requested a room very close to the elevator- they could have only gone out one more room to be as far away as possible. So I had to limp about 100 yards to get to the elevator whenever I wanted to go out. That was the thing that really got me, the walk to the elevator. I doubt I will be back.
