Lovely accommodations, delicious food, and super helpful staff. One thing to note, if you are through hiking - make sure to check with reception what time the latest check-in time is beforehand, as they don't have 24/hr reception.

The hotel is centrally located in Funchal close to the mall, grocery store and the boardwalk. The kitchen is great with a full fridge to store snacks and water. The restaurant downstairs offer a fantastic lunch for great price of 12 euro. The included breakfast is awesome with a great al la carte section breads, cheese and fruit. All staff was great but Kaitalin was fabulous and created a beautiful driving tour for us along the coastline!
