Whidbey House 3 BR 2 BA Porch & Patio: Walk to Golf & Beach Sleeps 6-7

The Whidbey House is a luxurious 1,800 SF, three-bedroom, two-bath handicap-accessible vacation home. Located in Freeland’s upscale Holmes Harbor neighborhood, it is just walking distance to the golf course, trails, and beach. Nestled against a large, forested tract, the Whidbey House feels like a quiet oasis. The backyard offers some of the best birding in Washington, and deer visit several times daily.

Whidbey House was built in a modern but comfortable Northwest bungalow style. The house is dominated by a luxurious great room that includes a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with granite counters, breakfast bar, and stainless appliances. High ceilings and big windows in all the rooms give the house a spacious feel.

Accommodations include three bedrooms and two baths. The five beds include a king in the luxury master suite and a queen in a second bedroom. The third bedroom has two twin bunkbeds and a twin sleeper chair. A Pack and Play portable crib is also provided. The king bed has a new, luxury Saatva mattress. The queen bed has a new pillowtop mattress.
Important amenities include high speed wifi, a high-definition Samsung TV, satellite TV, and an office area with PC and printer. The house is handicap-accessible with no steps for entry, wide doorways, and a walk-in shower. Adjacent to the house is a modest fenced area with a patio, outdoor table, gas grill, and gas firepit. In addition, a covered front porch on the first floor offers a great place to relax and watch the world go by. The house has a high efficiency heat pump system for air conditioning and heating. A two-car garage behind the Whidbey House is entered from a private driveway. There is plenty of parking for six cars or for a 40-foot RV. There is a 30-amp electrical hookup, making the Whidbey House a great destination for RV or van owners.

Perfect Home!
The Whidbey House was hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. So much space, so clean & so homey. We traveled with small children and the amenities (pack n play, high chair, etc) at the house made traveling with less a breeze! We will definitely be booking again for future travel to Whidbey Island.

Nice attractive home
The property was nice and the information accurately described the property. However, I must have gotten this property mixed up with a different location and thought there was filtered water in the home. Because we arrived very late at night we realized the water wasn’t drinkable and had to find a convenience store to buy bottled water. The shower was great except the chlorine smells in the water were overbearing. I’m very sensitive to chemicals. Not the property owners fault, but had someone placed that pertinent information in their review, we probably would have stayed elsewhere. The neighborhood was quiet and the house and yard were very nice and well kept. We felt safe there coming from our country home in Texas.

Very clean and very well appointed. We had a group of 7, the maximum considering beds. One evening our local family visited for diner which grew the group to 12, it worked out great. The owners communicated extremely well before our arrival so there were no surprises or issues of any kind.

My family stayed in this beautiful home for four nights. We cooked every morning and evening. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine! Everything was very clean and super comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the patio, a nice walk through the neighborhood. My husband and son took the canoe to Langley and crabbed. We took the kayak to a beach and paddled around. The owners communication was excellent. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat! It was the perfect home for our stay.

Great Stay in Holmes Harbor
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely and comfortable home. It was extremely clean and had a well stocked kitchen with all of the appliances, gadgets, and spices anyone could hope for. We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this was among the best. The layout of the home was great with plenty of room for all. The dining table seated 8 and there was a kitchen counter for seating as well. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were two bathrooms and a washer/dryer. We had great outdoor space which was quiet with a nice yard for the children to play and watch the deer passing by. They had a pack and play and high chair for young children. The location was wonderful and we enjoyed time at Double Bluff Beach, Useless Bay Beach, Castle Park play/picnic area, shopping and eating ice-cream in Langley, hiking at South Whidbey State Park, lunch at Greenbank Farm, the Saturday Farmers Market, and wandering through the magnificent Meerkerk Gardens. All these fun activities were within a 15 minute drive of this lovely home. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Don't miss out on this gem of a property.
