Mafic House is a 140-year-old classic Australian homestead restored and luxuriously upgraded for comfort and energy efficiency in a 2020 Master Builders Association award-winning period renovation.

The house sits proud above Mt Franklin Estate, producer of boutique Italian variety Mafic wines in the gold era village of Franklinford just 15 minutes to Daylesford, 10 minutes to Hepburn, 20 minutes to Castlemaine.

Mafic House has three large bedrooms, the king master with ensuite and French doors to the deck of the pool (in use November 1st-April 1st). Two additional Queen bedrooms have extensive views, and share a large bathroom with shower, clawfoot bath, toilet and tucked-away European laundry. Heating is hydronic with adjustable panels in every room, small wood heater in the dining area, and additional living area heating/cooling by reverse cycle unit.

The large farm kitchen connects with dining and living areas, and features a Smeg induction stove. Deep concertina windows open to the wrap-around verandah and pool deck. The proeprty is dog freindly, yard is secure for larger dogs only
