"Our original room, The Robert Burns Siute, was dark, and faced the road with a view of the dumpsters. After complaining immediately to the manager, he booked us into room 2, Mary Queen of Scott’s, a beautiful room facing the loch with breath-taking views. Heated floors in the bathroom, a comfortable king bed and excellent service rounded out our experience. The loud 1970s music blaring during our adequate dinner was unpleasant though."

"This was an excellent property which we would happily stay in again. Well maintained, spotlessly clean and comfortable. You also could not ask for a more centrally located apartment in Fort Augustus, with all its amenities on your doorstep. However I have dropped a star as we were not provided with the door access code or room, as promised, on the day of our arrival. In fact we never received this information at all! Thankfully the very friendly cleaner provided us with access to our room. Had she not been there we would have had to make phone calls etc, which is an inconvenience, and not how it’s supposed to work."

"Greeted by the very energetic hotel manager, even though he was busy checking in other guest and looking after the lodges as well, you cannot fault him and his enthusiasm. Lovely boutique room, lacking air conditioning, after all it is Scotland. Lovely lake view and well maintained grounds and gardens. Lovely breakfast and attentive staff. Generally well maintained hotel but creaking floorboards can be disruptive later at night and noise may echo a little."

"This is a charming farmhouse at a convenient location. There are about 5 rooms, not every room has an en-suite bathroom. We had booked a triple room so had an ensuite bathroom, which was small but clean. The beds were comfortable. The entire house was clean and had an incredibly welcoming smell. The host, Neil, lives in the property and cooks breakfast to order, the breakfast is scrumptious and delicious ! Neil is an amazing host who has immense knowledge about the area and is always happy to help, he also has a great sense of humour. Overall it was a cozy stay and I would definitely recommend the place."
