Fontanel Mansion

Fontanel Mansion
Spot music memorabilia and see a slice of the home life of the well-known country singer Barbara Mandrell at her former family estate.

Fontanel Mansion is the one-time family residence of Barbara Mandrell, a country musician and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Glimpse inside the living quarters of this impressive 33,000-square-foot (3,000-square-meter) log cabin home and browse displays of country music artifacts. Fontanel Mansion sits on 136 acres (55 hectares) of pristine lawns and woodland, part of a complex that includes a distillery, outdoor arena, zip line and woodland trails.

Join a guided tour of the mansion, where Mandrell lived between 1988 and 2002. This is one of few celebrity homes in Nashville that is open to the public. Look inside the 20 rooms including bedrooms, two kitchens and an indoor shooting range. View the family’s memorabilia and personal items. Exhibits of awards and photos highlight Mandrell’s career.

Note the mementos from other country musicians, such as Gretchen Wilson and Kenny Chesney. These pieces have been collected by the property owners, Dale Morris and Marc Oswald, two recognized music industry moguls.

Combine your tour of the house with outdoor attractions located within the complex. Follow 3 miles (5 kilometers) of woodland trails snaking around the Whites Creek Valley. Travel high above a forest canopy at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour (56 kilometers) on a zip-line course. Attend concerts by artists, such as Bryan Adams and Willie Nelson, at the 4,500-person-capacity Woods Amphitheater.

Enjoy a wine flight at a tasting room of a Tennessee winery or sample the whiskeys, rums and brandies of Prichard’s Distillery. Dine on delicious pasta, pizzas and stromboli at the authentic Italian Fontanella Café.

Find the complex about a 20-minute drive north of Downtown Nashville. The most convenient way to get here is via car. Free parking is available. Access to the mansion itself is via shuttle bus only from the parking area.

Fontanel Mansion is open daily and has an admission fee. Make an advanced booking to ensure entry. Admission to the woodland trail is free. The opening hours and fees of all of the complex’s attractions are listed on Fontanel Mansion’s official website.
